Look at the Clemson message boards. They don’t care if he left. Some are even hoping we take him. Wow. That’s a disaster. SSAH an hour after Brownell is announced as coach. Kind of sad. So, Dusty is just his nickname and he's actually Brad May. pumpfake and jonz44 1 1

This is a board of former IU athletes that Dolson had to meet with every other week to discuss hirings. Just like the woman’s soccer coach last week. He doesn’t need their approval but he does have to discuss the process with them. Do I believe he’s giving them specific information? No I don’t. Appreciate the context. Dolson having to meet with an athlete board and actually give them insight into the hiring process is a glaring example of the incompetence of IU basketball the last 25 years. What an utter waste of Scott Dolson's time right now. BtownStrength, cybergates, VFury and 15 others 18

ib4iu Posted February 15 Posted February 15 I think the name was thrown out a few 100 pages ago. But what about Shaka Smart? Hard to find much on salary with private school but I think I saw it was around $3 million. I know he wasn’t great at Texas but he’s done well at Marquette and he’s still just 47. lillurk and cybergates 2
Alford Bailey Posted February 15 Posted February 15 IU probably still had Brownells resume on file so started there lillurk 1

Average fans aren’t on message boards and likely have no idea about Beard’s history. Everybody here is much more clued into CBB and educated about it as a whole than people watching YouTube videos. Just my opinion. This is exactly why I would guess he would be at least 75% approval from all IU fans. lillurk and jonz44 2

The forums are about the only places I see fans against Beard. I bet he would have at least a 75% approval if every IU fan was asked about him. I see a lot of positive comments on Beard on a ton of other media platforms. Not near the negative take I see here. That said we won’t hire him. WayneFleekHoosier and Ryno6284 2
GP711 Posted February 15 Posted February 15 I would be absolutely shocked if it’s Brownell, but at this point there isn’t anything i would rule out. Call it delusion, honestly that’s probably it, but my gut tells me the real Brad isn’t totally out of question, but maybe unlikely. either way I trust Scott Chris007, lillurk, Alford Bailey and 3 others 5 1

I could see a meeting that the AD attends once a semester or something, but weekly or bi-weekly and to discuss things like coaching hires? That's absolutely ridiculous. I was on my colleges athlete board (D2 - nowhere near IU's level obviously) and i don't remember ever meeting with our AD, maybe once at the beginning of the year, but weekly or bi-weekly?
