Probably the biggest reason why he should have been fired and told to clean out his office. Letting him have the microphone again is one of the dumbest things we could have possibly done. His separation agreement almost certainly has a non-disparagement clause that would prevent this by putting his buyout at risk if he goes off. Even with that, I would not give him the mic — could result in some bad “optics.” HoosierDevils, MemphisHoosier, Chris007 and 3 others 6

I’m not much for booing but if he stands there and airs his grievances in senior day, it will show he is simply in it for himself with no regard for IU. And hope he would get boo’d out of the gym. Hopefully, his hangers on will counsel him against that Chris007, go iu bb, tkbbn and 1 other 4

That was me and I’ll stand by that statement. I have never been a troll and don’t ever intend to have “breaking news,” just add to the conversation. I still see that family member regularly, and he’s just as surprised that Michigan swept in at the 11th hour with Dusty. It just goes to show that there are so many moving parts with all these people. You can have info that you are 100% convinced of, but people change. They change their minds, they go a different direction, etc. My bad if I spoke in absolutes, but I repeated exactly what I was told, no embellishment. raorIU, thebigweave, rcbowla and 3 others 6

Class of '66 Old Fart Posted March 4, 2025 Posted March 4, 2025 One would hope that Buckner, Wittman and his other biggest supporters would tell him in very plain language not to make an even bigger a$$ of himself at senior night by going off on a petty rant. lillurk, go iu bb, Chris007 and 4 others 7

If that happens it would just add to the evidence that for Mike Woodson, this was never about bringing IU Basketball back as a top program or bridging the divide between older and younger IU fans. It will just show this has always been about Mike Woodson wanting the status of being the IU coach and that to Woodson, his ego is more important than the program. thebigweave, tkbbn, Kentuckysucks and 2 others 5

Popular Post HoosierMatty Posted March 4, 2025 Popular Post Posted March 4, 2025 Wouldn't getting into a physical altercation with your assistant be grounds for being fired? He can complain all he wants, but the truth is we have given him special treatment all around because he was a former player. The very fact he even got this job was because of it. Certainly not his resume. This was always my concern with hiring a former player, if it doesn't work out it's hard to separate. But I would have never imagined a former player being so clueless about this job and what it entails and be so selfish on top of it. theriverpilot, Chris007, tkbbn and 6 others 9
