coonhounds Posted March 4 Posted March 4 I don't think I mean this as d-baggy as it sounds, or maybe I do, but I wonder how many college basketball coaches Woody could offer a considered judgement on? Maybe 5? Some of those guys remember every action and every decision from every game they've ever been on the bench for, I know for a fact that Self can do that, but Woody has always felt like once he's done thinking about a game he just moves on. Great coaches can do that. You could interview coach knight and he would talk about a game 20 years ago like he just got done with it. I have caught woodson several times messing up details on post game radio right after the game. If you listen to him to much you quickly learn he has no clue what is going on. He's been nothing short of reliable in the past and doesn't share speculation. I guess time will tell. lillurk, mamasa and ALASKA HOOSIER 3

He would tell everyone, he doesn’t care, just like the poster’s friend. Woody is probably conveying his best guess. While Dolson might not tell Woody anything, there is no getting around the fact that Woody knows a lot of people connected to all of this. He likely knows a lot

8bucks Posted March 4 Posted March 4 2 hours ago, Herotime said: As a preacher I would love for our next coach to genuinely love Jesus in such a way that he does NOT have to preach sermons to his team or demand they go to church with him, but RATHER that they see he walks with integrity, class, and respect… that he treats everyone (from the 5star recruit to the water boy) with compassion and kindness. That he has a reputation for looking out for the good of others BUT also works hard and is willing to model self-sacrifice for the benefit of others. A saint once said, “Preach the word and when necessary use words.” It’s true we are hiring a coach, but there’s also more to life than basketball. So, I’d like a coach who will model the kind of values that make the world a better place. Amen to the saint! J34 1
