It’s not going to be Bruce. He’s not leaving Auburn.

IU is a better gig than Auburn as a basketball school. Pearl knows that. And Pearl has expressed his affection for the IU job. If the Cubs offered me the opportunity to play 2B at half my current salary I’d take it. If IU is indeed Pearl’s dream job, he wouldn’t even have to worry about a salary decrease.  It would be a no-brainer I would think. But I could be wrong.

Well, if we're being real and being honest, Woodson is not winning a natty... he's gonna be lucky to win the play-in game if he makes it that far...

Stranger (dumber?) things have happened in this universe.

It would be quintessential IU to fire a championship winning coach the season he won the championship because we didn’t think he’d ever win a championship. Go Hoosiers.

He is not capable of winning 6 in a row vs good competition. No chance

Lots of chatter just last year that he was interested. If true not sure why he would no longer be

Yeah but you’re not already the 2B for the Astros or Dodgers.

I’m not sure I understand your point. My current position isn’t relevant. You can point to lots of athletes that chase their dream jobs which typically coincide with their hometown teams. And, just to be clear, I’d listen if the Astros or Dodgers called..

Won’t happen.  If Dolson hired Brownell I expect the fan base to personally hide-strap his @$$ to a pine rail and send Scott up the Monon Line.
I know I would

The article was linked from a sporting news article whose title was 'Indiana Could Target ACC coach'.  Its nothing more than an AI generated article based on conjecture of another article.

At the bottom of the article of the article at bvmsports.com:

There’s more to it than that. He has Auburn rolling and he’s got it set up so when he retires his son takes over. He’s not leaving.

Saban had LSU rolling when he left, one year removed from a national championship and coming off a 9-3 season. That argument isn’t persuasive to me. If he’s trying to set his son up to take over, that is a stronger argument, but isn’t dispositive in my view. Fair points to argue, though.
