My fingers feel heavy, my brain’s on retreat— Yet here comes the humor, so let's take a seat! Oh, seven hundred pages—a daunting demand! Like climbing Everest with no help at hand. Each word feels like boulders rolled down from the peak; To write just one sentence takes me all week! “Just write about dragons!” my friend shouts with glee, But alas, I’m more lost than a cat in a tree. And what if they’re purple? Or wear silly hats? How do you get stories from whimsical cats? I tried writing love scenes—oh what a blunder! The characters swooned and then pulled me asunder. They danced through the fields, but then tripped on their feet— Now they’re tangled in weeds and can't find their way neat! Then came an idea; “Let’s make it absurd!” A tale of two penguins who fancied each word. They waddled through libraries searching for rhymes— But found only igloos and ice cream at times! Each page I compose is like running a race; A marathon scribble that quickens my pace. I'm racing against time while avoiding despair— “Seven hundred pages” can’t fit in thin air! You should have posted in Stanza's instead of all-in-one post. This would push the page count, LOL Willkie71, thebigweave, RoadRage and 1 other 3 1

Crean went to Sherwood Oaks, along with Jordy and Zeller occasionally. He sat towards the back to get in and out quickly / avoid conversation (totally get that). My family and I sat back there too because we were always late, but also, almost always there at the 11 service that he attended. Not one time did Crean do that. I believe he went to City Church a bit too Chris007 1

I’m not trying to delve into the discourse (again) people have their views and it won’t change. To me it makes no sense to put a gag order on Beard’s off court conduct since it can affect what happens on the court and we discuss anything and everything about all other candidates. You can’t really separate the two IMO. Anytime he comes up, his coaching ability and history off the court will come up. That’s the full picture of the candidate. Exactly. The Xs and Os don't exist in a vacuum. Home Jersey 1

Dave from Dayton Posted February 19, 2025 Posted February 19, 2025 I can't hardly believe the crazy approach That we post about team's leaders we want to poach. So. I put my thinking cap on and recall This advice about mentors in basketball: "Kipling would have been a hell of a coach." RMK said that in his book, The Power of Negative Thinking) after this Kipling quote: “If you can keep your head when all about you Are losing theirs and blaming it on you; If you can trust yourself when all men doubt you, But make allowance for their doubting, too; If you can dream—and not make dreams your master; If you can think—and not make thoughts your aim, If you can meet with Triumph and Disaster And treat those two impostors just the same; … If you can force your heart and nerve and sinew To serve your turn long after they are gone; And so hold on when there is nothing in you Except the Will which says to them “hold on!” If you can fill the unforgiving minute With sixty seconds’ worth of distance run, Yours is the Earth and everything that’s in it, And—which is more—you’ll be a Man, my son!" He’d rather speak freely than play with the sound, Said his mind was too vast to be tightly bound. “Why must I conform to this rhythmic round? Let my thoughts flow like rivers, unshackled and unbound!” Loved it! Brought a smile to my face! iubb, Willkie71 and RoadRage 3

I need to go back to lurking, lol. But yeah if I remember right they were mostly Alford’s guys, though Cronin convinced them to stay. Juzang was a transfer—Cronin got him, but Juzang wanted to come home, too. That final four team was super fun—gutty offense mixed with Cronin defense. But I’ve never seen him put together a team that was as well rounded as that one. I hoped he might keep it up at UCLA after the final four run but it seems like offensively he just is what he is.
