So let’s talk Rick Pitino.

I love this board. LOL

And I was trying to decide between an old .gif, a strippers .gif or a bathroom sex .gif.

It's so challenging with Pitino.

No, like I said, connection is via a mark connection specifically.

And look everyone, I know mark may not excite a lot of the base the way others might. But he’s an accomplished college coach and those aren’t easy to find, and again there’s some feeling it’s a good fit from an intangibles perspective.

Look guys I don’t blame you a second for the initial reaction and take no offense at your skepticism. And I will say it’s not like I’m in the room for these convos or that mark or the IU AD or anyone directly involved in these conversations has told me this stuff firsthand. Just thought it’d be of interest that this is what I’ve been told by being indirectly connected to this specific direction of the process.  And if you take a breath and think about it from a 90,000 foot view, it actually does make some sense in my opinion.

Even with my LASIK surgery, I’ll admit that from 90,000 feet away Mark Turgeon and Brad Stevens are pretty indistinguishable.

TheDMV has to be bobknightsghost just trying to prove a point that he can get anyone to believe anything by just coming on here and stating something as fact.

I will say there must be something in the water... there's been a tremendous influx of trolls, whackos and other ne'er-do-wells roaming the halls of BTB these days...

Tom Crean, who most definitely would know:

”The number one requirement for (being the head coach at) a place like Indiana is that you better have been (figuratively) punched in the mouth many times in your life… and I’m not talking about dealing with a three game losing streak.”

Yup. There are a bunch of really good coaches for whom this ain’t the job. Your self-belief and vision for your program better be utterly bullet-proof.

From 90,000 feet it does make sense. I would be cold, lonely, and balled up in the fetal position trying not to vomit and reconsidering my life choices 90,000 feet up in the air.

We all would be if IU hired Turgeon.

I’m actually somewhat surprised it’s considered quite so outlandish to explore Turgeon. Does no one realize Mark was co-B1G champ right before covid wrecked all of his momentum?

That was not that long ago.

We get it.  You know Mark.  We do not want him as our next coach.

Alright....no one has said it yet. Since we are tossing unrealistic names out.

Back up the brinks truck and dump it in Painter's yard...come make a boat load of money porkchop, and bonus...you get to live somewhere that doesn't smell like doo doo.

….a new guy comes on here with only 14 freakin’ posts, mentions a few possible things to create some debate/questions and you’re all upside down?!?. Gee whiz!!! SMH…..

Don't we all agree that it's highly unlikely we're going to really find out anything of real substance until the season is over?

Indiana should definitely do that…so he can ask for a raise and drain money from the PU program.
