Sounds like Scott has a plan. As often as he talks to Brad if he's still working that situation, maybe it's possible. Can we presume that the agent contacts have been made with Dusty? That's probably several weeks from taking shape. I wonder who is the next teir of contacts?

I wonder if Dolson plan is to sing the above song to him everyday until Stevens signs on the dotted line?  Never know could work.

Scott's not stupid. If that happened you don't do that without having a good understanding of what the situation is. It's not just that. IU is also scheduling non conference games which is odd without a HC

The non-conference games being scheduled for next year definitely piques the interest.  I don’t see how that would happen without a HC in place.  I suppose it’s possible, though I don’t find it probable.

Right...I know Scott is not stupid. Very far from it. That was kinda the point of my post but I rambled a bit. The only reason a very smart person chooses to have that type of conversation with that type of wording is because of extreme confidence in the outcome. The scheduling part is odd as well. Things that, without context, could be seen as normal course of events for a basketball program that needs to fill out a schedule with better games and a basketball program that needs to have a better relationship with AAU programs in the state...normal things that the AD is proactively taking care of. However, with the added clear hint at Brad Stevens being candidate #1, plus those other dots...even someone as dim as myself can't help but connect said dots.

While this is certainly possible, and has happened for elite executive people in the past (Theo Epstein and Billy Beane) it’s pretty rare. Given the team is selling. Current owners looking to sell 51%. I can’t imagine them wanting to sell majority stake and then give a couple % of their leftover to Brad. On the flip side, the new owner isn’t going to give a couple % to Brad and lose majority ownership.

Well maybe with IU's interest Stevens's agent can leverage a measly percent or two and a larger salary out of it.

Correlation or Causation? Archie's teams at Rhode Island aren't shooting the lights out either. Woodson hasn't exactly recruited many known shooters beside Luke Goode, who is shooting 41% this season for 3 even after a terrible November.

I'm not blaming Cliff solely on our shooting struggles but probably is some sort of correlation.  His background is in football too. If he's doing the same workout as before, then probably not the best.

I just pray whoever the coach is they fire Clif Marshall LOL

I am in the camp that believes Marshall has a ton to do with our shooting issues.  When I played in HS our coaches warned us that significant weight lifting would affect our shooting and we would need to put in twice the shooting work to maintain.  Also, it was heavily discourage during season.  Anytime you mess with the shooting motion ratio (including visual, muscle memory and strength) that its is going to affect your percentage/ability until your brain retrains itself and gets the ratio back in sync.  Now, that could be all BS, but I do know I shot worse immediately after nearly every single time, so I believe it from first hand experience.

If we did not play football we were not allowed to be in the weight room. My high school coach was the same as Pat Graham

But wouldn't that mean Archie Miller's teams would improve their shooting if there was a poor shooting correlation to Cliff Marshall? It should mean a shooter like Luke Goode also regresses but he's having probably his best shooting season.
