I will say that many people heard that there was a signing yesterday. Several people heard it was it was a home run. Meaning not Brownell or McCollum. Was told they could announce it as early as Monday if iwe don’t make the tournament. I don’t think would happen if it was a current coach. Can a current coach sign a contract? I’m done for the day. Go Hoosiers!! Who am I kidding I’ll be back later.

That’s what I was saying earlier. Can there be an agreement in principle?  Sure. But a done deal, as in a signed contract?  I don’t see how that happens, particularly if there are buyouts involved. But, as I’ve stated, I’m not in the industry.

Ben McCollum or DeVries are not a home run hires or even a good ones of Will Wade out there and wants the job (hell even Rabby heard his people reached out)

I refuse to truly believe Brownell is the hire unless Dolson got interfered with again but I can’t imagine who the hell in the AD likes Brownell that much

The problem is that people say "the Stevens rumors are stupid, and you have to be gullible to believe them." The same people believe the BB rumors as gospel. The same people say "no one knows anything." I'm sorry but three stances are too many....can you all be more consistent in your stance?

Also, very good point!

Brownell fits with how this program has been run the last 25 years.

McCollum isn't the home run, he's the walk off 9th inning grand slam. So if your info is correct, we settled for something less.

Ok guys.  Help a girl understand.  What are the strong reactions against Brad Brownell and all the love for Ben McCollum about?
I get Brownell hasn’t got to the tournament much at all, but he has been at flipping Clemson.  He has had, count them, 1 losing record at a football school deep in ACC country which used to be arguably the best conference in basketball.  IU is not too big for him.  McCollum has been in D2.  How do we know he can handle this job?  He is a huge risk.

Halftime score BIG10 tournament…Wisconsin 23…Michigan 21.  That’s some great offense with both teams chucking 3’s…I mean bricks.

Please Kaulie, for the love of all things holy, do NOT post positive thoughts about Brownell.  We just cannot take it.

Both teams are gassed. Settling for 3s in lieu of expending more energy

About the only thing I can glean from all of this is that IU signing a coach yesterday would explain all of the craziness here and on twitter today. Doesn't point in the direction of any coach in particular, but would explain the uptick in "chatter".

What a rollercoaster...

Me personally it’s because Brownell is been very meh at Clemson and he’s 58. McCollum has done nothing but win and is a young guy, 43.

Why for me it’s BM over BB!

Either way it happens it’s a win. :)
