I’m pretty excited about this hire. It’s clear that most people have no idea what’s going on and it’s pretty impressive honestly.

This Brownell drop may be just one last bit of smoke/misdirection to get this past selection Sunday.  To get it over the proverbial hump if you will…..If IU makes the tournament,, it may take a bit more but my guess is SD has his guy but just won’t share it until the Woodson era is over.

This little exchange doesn't really instil a lot of confidence.  Bozich, although calling out the poster's hyperbole, is still indirectly admitting a decent portion of the fan base wouldn't be thrilled with the Brownell hire.

Agree.  And all the nasty DMs are stupid and out of line.

That said, none of these death threats are real.  It’s not like any college coach or player has ever needed security or ever faced an assassination attempt.  It’s just dumb people, some of who may not even be IU fans, typing nasty stuff into their phone. This all gets blown out of proportion.

It goes far beyond alleged death threats. Woodson, his players, and his Twitter burners have been spinning the blame the fanbase narrative for over a year. And if you’re getting crappy DMs from fans then just turn off your DMs. It’s absolutely nothing unique to IU fans.

I think if Bozich is right, it's because lots of people don't know enough about Brownell. The die-hard fans, who actually know his resume? I think the number would be higher than 75%.
