Why would you assume this? No coach is going to be announced until after IU is done playing. Stevens may very well be a done deal and there is no value to Brad Stevens to have it announced early. Being mad at Stevens because the announcement doesn't meet your timeline is a little silly. HoosierInParadise and Willkie71 2

McCollum will need help with introductions to the Indiana high school scene. I’m a believer in NIL helping a new coach build a roster quickly. I also think there is some talent on the team and coming in next year. I agree with this, I also think they have guys they would leave that are 5 or 4 stars because they don't fit! We focus on star ratings, they focus on who fits what they want! That is what winners do! Demo 1

That's such a red flag. I think any coach we hire even Stevens needs a strong support staff to get through all the things college coaches have to go through. A lot of top football programs have a GM plus a lot of support staffs Asha’man 1

Quite confident he will be able to find 3 and 4 star guys who want to play for him after this season at Drake. He could bring Stirtz, retain Rice and Reneau ... maybe Mgbako ... and fill in transfers. We'll see, if he ends up being the guy. There's going to be risks no matter what. Popular Post Jeff Flabjohns Posted March 14, 2025 Popular Post Posted March 14, 2025 We’ve averaged a McDonald AA per year over the last decade and a half and have three second-weekends but mostly missed tourneys to show for it. I’m not worried about Ben McCollum being able to recruit the guys he wants at this level. With the right coaches it’s about so much more than Stars next to a recruits name IU Faithful, MikeRoberts, IUHAHN81 and 23 others 22 4

But to be honest, Kentucky tried a couple big fishes last year and fell back on Pope. It “seems” to have worked out we shall see but it’s not like we are the first to take big swings and miss and Kentucky is in a 100 x’s better spot than we are. Trish 1
