Bet his dad is pissed!

Bet the offense would be fun as hell and he could do better than Luke Walton.  Maybe not quite Chris Collins as x and o’s, but I would pay to see it.  Who doesn’t love a legit 2nd gen coach?

Ya know part of me thinks if Stevens has to have this much massage and begging to come, f@ck him. Have some dignity.

Why would you assume this?  No coach is going to be announced until after IU is done playing.  Stevens may very well be a done deal and there is no value to Brad Stevens to have it announced early.  Being mad at Stevens because the announcement doesn't meet your timeline is a little silly.

Cig coached at Bama and recruited top level talent.  McCollum will need help with introductions to the Indiana high school scene. I’m a believer in NIL helping a new coach build a roster quickly. I also think there is some talent on the team and coming in next year.

I agree with this, I also think they have guys they would leave that are 5 or 4 stars because they don't fit! We focus on star ratings, they focus on who fits what they want! That is what winners do!

I don't dislike McCollum but I have immediate concerns about any candidate that needs the AD to immediately build up a support system to cover gaps in his ability to run a big-time program. That's such a red flag.

I think any coach we hire even Stevens needs a strong support staff to get through all the  things college coaches have to go through. A lot of  top football programs have a GM plus a lot of support staffs

That’s EXACTLY the problem

He's going to, in all likelihood, be a Painter style recruiter going for guys that fit his system.

Quite confident he will be able to find 3 and 4 star guys who want to play for him after this season at Drake.

He could bring Stirtz, retain Rice and Reneau ... maybe Mgbako ... and fill in transfers. We'll see, if he ends up being the guy.

There's going to be risks no matter what. Trust Dolson or not, I guess.

Never said he can’t win, I’m implying Indiana can’t land the big fish because it’s not just “Indiana’ anymore.

That became the case when they hired Mike Woodson.

People are having a delayed reaction lol

But to be honest, Kentucky tried a couple big fishes last year and fell back on Pope. It “seems” to have worked out we shall see but it’s not like we are the first to take big swings and miss and Kentucky is in a 100 x’s better spot than we are.
