SlammySammy Posted March 14 Posted March 14 Ya know , on the other hand….Iowa gig would look much better to a guy like McCollum IF he wanted to hit the ground running with a serviceable roster of returning players and hot recruits coming in. That would be the easiest way for him to move up. I wonder if the DeVries talk is just a smokescreen for bringing in BM? Just my thoughts.
Scotty R Posted March 14 Posted March 14 That is total garbage about McCollum needing coordinators. He has been a HC for 15 years and basketball isn't that hard so if you can coach you can do it at any level. Also John Beilein hired an assistant to take over his defense because their defense wasn't good. So if a great coach like that hires a coordinator so to me that isn't a bad thing. What he would need some help with is the NIL and the portal which is why you need to hire a GM. I would say that no matter who the coach is because it is to much work for the HC.
