Not sure if anyone posted this but IF IU actually considered Wade then only the first two bullet points would apply. Stuff his assistants could very easily do. I would totally be down with Wade if he’s Vetted and IU is satisfied with his answers to the hard questions

I explained that. Once they got beyond preliminary stage, MT has asked for more info on status of process at each stage and SD has been transparent. Upstanding guy.

And Sean Miller was caught on the same FBI wire tap talking to the same FBI subject (Christian Dawkins) facilitating payments to DeAndre Ayton. But since Will Wade was a mid-30’s, up and comer at a non-basketball school…the NCAA had to bury somebody.

Yep agree with you. Also people are complaining about Watford wanting Wade but his brother played under Wade so he would know Wade better than any of us

Has there been some rumor wade is even under consideration?

Just a lot of social media speculation. Most people don’t know what’s really going on, so I was just putting a list out there for fun. That’s all

So if we are down to 4 according to some (excluding Stevens for this conversation, and for some odd reason feel compelled to leave off Turgeon as well…..)  McDermott, Wade, McCollum, and Brownell, what is everyone’s preference here? They all bring something different, so I would be curious on what posters are thinking would be best for IU out of the group I listed.

**I’m not saying it’s actually down to those 4, but after today, just going off of some generalizations.**

McDermott-  Yes, hallelujah

McCollum- Yes, interesting

Brownell- Yeah, ok

It’s just weird multiple people have said March 17th but that date literally only works if someone is currently not in the NCAA Tournament

What they said was  the coaching search wrapped up by the 17th -- that is everything done at that point and they have their guy.  Doesn't mean an announcement would be made if IU or whoever is signed's team is still playing.

Bill self literally had an assistant coach on audio offering Zion’s dad a coaching job and a house if Zion committed and not only didn’t he get fired he kept coaching for Kansas

Kansas stood by him and didn’t fire him and said let’s fight it. It worked

Plus it’s Kansas. Too big of a school to hurt. LSU/Wade was perfect fit to be like “hey guys, stop it. We are serious”

Exactly. The point is to be proactive and to hire these guys before somebody else does. Not let somebody else take a chance on him, he wins big and gets comfortable, and by then he won't want to leave while we're floundering with whatever mediocre coach we decided to hire instead.

The decision on whether or not to hire someone shouldn't be based on a fear that someone else will hire him. The hire should be based on whether or not IU wants to hire him.

The Indiana head coaching job became available when Mike Woodson decided to step down as head coach of the Hoosiers at the end of the season. However, a month later, Woodson feels as though he made a mistake by stepping down too early. Regardless of his change of heart, the Hoosiers are now in search of a new head coach, and there's no way around it.

Woodson questioning his own decision to step down raises concerns. While Woodson ultimately chose to step down, it certainly seems as if the head coach is regretting his decision. The fourth year head coach is going to take his team as deep as he can for this last run.

omg this came up on my you tube feed and woever these clowns are they say woodson needs another year.  Pure comedy.

I enjoyed your commentary. Here is an important fact. IU missed the tournament 4 years in a row before Woody got there, and they ran out one of their own, not wonder so many coaches aren't interested in this gig. But you need to mention the context that he has 3 tournaments in 4 years, and they missed the dance 4 years in a row before he got there. This is not IU of the 70's or early 80's
