Think they came to an agreement there. He wanted to just quit and be done at the time but they worked something out

But you don't get your buyout when you quit, it's only when you get fired or take another job......

So if we are down to 4 according to some (excluding Stevens for this conversation, and for some odd reason feel compelled to leave off Turgeon as well…..)  McDermott, Wade, McCollum, and Brownell, what is everyone’s preference here? They all bring something different, so I would be curious on what posters are thinking would be best for IU out of the group I listed.

**I’m not saying it’s actually down to those 4, but after today, just going off of some generalizations.**

Has there been some rumor wade is even under consideration?

Not that I've seen... just CWat pushing him for the job... and Tyme re-tweeting it.

And then got caught, lied to the school and to the NCAA investigators, hence the show cause, and then barely made any effort at all to appear contrite because he wasn’t. He’s an amoral POS and I don’t want him anywhere near a program I root for because he’s gonna get busted for something else, my guess in the current environment would be something academically related but it won’t shock me if it’s more along the lines of a Steve Alford/Pierre Pierce sort of thing.

Im personally not team Wade I get your feelings up until the end.  It doesn't quite seem fair to Wade though to just assume he would try and cover up a SA because he paid some guys and lied to the NCAA about it.  That's quite a leap in my opinion.

Good to rehash because I remembered the “offers” but had really forgotten all of the attempted coverup

When people mention Wade, what immediately comes to mind is how he responded to the allegations against him by a reporter during a postgame press conference.

Smirks, shrugs it off and says "tell it to the judge".

Dude is the definition of slime. I don't want him anywhere near our program.

Even in the era where everything is legal, he is probably still finding ways to cheat.
