Top 20s don’t always stick around long and outside of top 40 don’t always contribute a ton right away. UNC, Virginia and Villanova types MemphisHoosier, BGleas, Hutch89 and 3 others 6 Quote

cthomas Posted August 18, 2021 Posted August 18, 2021 CMW seems to have a really good handle on what he wants. This coming year may be the worst team he puts on the floor and, right now, it looks pretty good. The next class is shaping up to be very good. What he has done in such a short period of time is incredible. I love his demeanor and the way he relates to the kids. If he can't restore IU to greatness, then it can't be done. I loved him as a player and I love him even more as a coach. ALASKA HOOSIER, cybergates, BGleas and 3 others 6 Quote

I was actually thinking IU would have a pretty good year this year, maybe 24 wins and a tiny bit of success in the tourney and then take a step back next year before hockey sticking back up. we could easily lose our top 5 players, at least 4 out of 5. That’s a ton to lose Hardwood83, thebigweave, Hoosierfanyuh and 2 others 5 Quote

Durr, Duncomb, Banks will be options, but no one with give us TJD stability imo. Sent from my iPad using BtownBanners mobile app Stromboli, MikeRoberts and Hoosierfanyuh 3 Quote

That’s a ton to lose I get what you are saying, but this class is starting to look really good. And coach knows how to work the portal to fill in the gaps. I think CMW is a guy who sees two or three years down the road. His NBA experience has taught him how to use the tools available to him. I don't doubt his ability to coach at this level. If he was successful at the top level of basketball, then he can figure out college basketball. I know it's still early and we have been burned before, but this guy gets it. Good times are ahead in my opinion. Quote

He'll have the stats for it, just needs to make a tournament run now and win a Big Ten championship. thebigweave and Hardwood83 2 Quote

Popular Post Class of '66 Old Fart Posted August 18, 2021 Author Popular Post Posted August 18, 2021 Rob Cassidy of Rivals - Jalen Hood-Schifino is set to announce his decision on Aug. 24, and the speculation has begun. Officially, the four-star guard has narrowed his list to include Indiana, Florida, Tennessee, Memphis and Texas. Unofficially, however, there are only a couple of real threats to land his pledge when he shares it with the world. Texas and Florida have both appeared to be out of the question for some time, and reports that Hood-Schifino has officially narrowed his list to include just Tennessee and Indiana hit Twitter on Tuesday. Whatever the case, Indiana and Tennessee have looked like the only real options since the talented prospect first narrowed his list. With roughly a week until Hood-Schifino is set to make the call, confidence in Bloomington seems to be growing, while it has begun to wane a bit in Knoxville. The Vols certainly aren’t out of the running here, but they seem like the only real threat to steal the Rivals150 prospect away from Mike Woodson and company. Still, It’s recruiting. There are no real “locks,” and nothing is ever set in stone until pen meets paper. But I’d feel reasonably OK if I were a Hoosiers fan. ebridges24, jk34, Hoosierfan1901 and 6 others 9 Quote
