It was so widely assumed until that “he’s 100% focused on being a Hoosier next year” quote. Wish DA the best. Think this was a good decision for him. BGVille Hoosierfan Posted April 23, 2020 Posted April 23, 2020 I think he’s either MAC or Horizon bound. Had heard his father was talking with Wright State, Toledo, and Miami OH prior to the season last year.Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners 8bucks 1 Quote

lillurk Posted April 23, 2020 Posted April 23, 2020 IU should really work to get a multi-year big on the last available scholarship, whether a late-rising 2020 HSer we haven’t heard they’re after or a transfer. I think Duncomb is a nice long-term piece and I like either/both Race and a particular ‘21 PF to play some minutes as a small-ball 5, but as of now the 2020-21 and 21-22 rosters seem to have one clear gap at the 5. mjhoosier and Hardwood83 2 Quote

I think we have a couple people to play the 5 this year. Trayce and Brunk. 21-22 wouldn’t mind getting a grad transfer to give Logan a year to adjust lillurk 1 Quote

Brunk graduates and assuming Trayce is at least a serious possibility to leave, you need someone you know can give you good minutes at the five thereafter. 20+ minutes, IMO, even if you play small some and trust Duncomb some in year one. Yes, but if you could find a two year guy this year I would still like IU to take him. I might be in the minority, and not sure how realistic that is, but if we're wishing. I agree TJD is more than capable at the 5, but he played a lot of 4 last year and if the scholarship is just sitting there..... Either way you are right about the following season, definitely need some depth there. Depending on a true Freshman center in the B1G (with only undersized forwards backing him up) sounds like a recipe for unmet expectations, no matter how talented the rest of the roster. Quote

If We can get a two year guy by all means go for it. Wonder if they instead use the spot to go after a 5 star big in 2021 Very curious what we do here lillurk 1 Quote

RaceToTheTop Posted April 23, 2020 Posted April 23, 2020 IF Lander isn't able to reclassify, could use someone to spell RP. If not, getting a limited minute grad spot up shooter wouldn't be the worst thing to have around. Quote

Popular Post Class of '66 Old Fart Posted May 1, 2020 Popular Post Posted May 1, 2020 Damezi announced his transfer to Loyola Chicago. Wish him the very best. lillurk, Hollywood Mike Miranda, BGVille Hoosierfan and 8 others 11 Quote
Popular Post Honkyman Posted May 1, 2020 Popular Post Posted May 1, 2020 This is a good move for Damezi. Loyola is an excellent school with a storied basketball tradition. They won the NCAA championship in 1963 and reached the Final Four in 2018. Damezi will be closer to home (Chicago is 90 miles from South Bend) so his family can readily watch him play. It is a nice campus located on the shores of Lake Michigan. I hope he is able to find his jump shot. As a South Bend native and IU graduate, I'm rooting for him. Bowhunter Posted May 1, 2020 Posted May 1, 2020 Good move for DA and IU. I’m sure he feels bad about underperforming, but he handled him self very professionally. I will be rooting for him!Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners RaceToTheTop, ebridges24 and MemphisHoosier 3 Quote
