Expected us to suck, and suck we did. Hard to be enthusiastic about a team that’s absolutely boring to watch, can’t score, and can’t compete in road games. Sent from my iPad using BtownBanners Don't do it! Don't accept mediocrity. So many have, both in the fanbase and within the program. Don't settle with the rest! We're better than this. We just need to remove the losers mentality from the program, the staff, and the players. We need to clean house. colonel06 1 Quote
cbp4iu Posted January 30, 2020 Posted January 30, 2020 If I’m Archie I go with 1 senior with Brunk next year. 1 JR with Phinisee The rest young players. I don’t want Smith or Durham back if they don’t want to put forth the effort. Smith will never develop because he doesn’t want to put forth the effort. Sad to see how these upperclassmen not step up. Why should we care if they don’t care? Quote

But if we make the tourney that will be: year 1 - nothing, year 2 - NIT quarterfinals, year 3 - NCAA tourney. What needle are you trying to move this season? I know you want the coach fired with every bone in your body but if you’re trying to make a point justifying that......well, try harder. thebigweave 1 Quote

With a minute left, get a 2nd and light a damn fire in your team. Quote

WayneFleekHoosier Posted January 30, 2020 Posted January 30, 2020 Feel like we win all but 1 or 2 at home. Lose out on the road. If that’s a tournament team, that says more about average teams getting in the tournament versus Indiana being proud of its team and program. Sent from my iPad using BtownBanners Quote

Sent from my iPad using BtownBanners I think we need 10 conference wins to feel safe about getting in the tourney. We have won 5 conference games with 5 home and 5 away games still to go. I think we “can” win a road game but do not feel particularly confident about any of them......@OSU, @UM, @Minny, @PU, @ILLINI. A win Sat would be huge and give us a little breathing room. Quote

We have 5 more home games against teams that aren’t as good as they are. We absolutely laid an egg tonight. When we wake up tomorrow, we’ll still be projected to be in every single tournament bracket. It’s not guaranteed, but sheesh, it’s far more likely we make the tourney than not at this point. thebigweave 1 Quote

That the team got better or college basketball got worse? Have we made improvements anywhere? Last year: 71.5 ppg, 36.3 rpg, 13.4 apg, 45.7% FG, 53.1% 2PT, 31.2% 3PT, 65.5% FT. This year: 73.5 ppg, 39.3 rpg, 13.3 apg, 45.3% FG, 51.3% 2PT, 30.5% 3PT, 68.2%We are actually worse at shooting this season than last. The only player above Races almost team leading 37.5% from 3 is Cooper Bybee. Who is 1-1 on the season. We haven’t really gotten better. Teams around have gotten worse. Same problems as last year and the first. Any solutions on their way next season? Nope. Season after that? Nope. Making the NCAA shouldn’t be the standard. We should be wanting that PLUS IMPROVEMENT. There hasn’t been any. This team has absolutely fizzled after the FSU game just like they did last season after Marquette with all the same problems.
