You'll drive yourself crazy trying to find logic in the things Tom Crean does.

Crean is that office employee who has about a million sticky notes on his desk, has a cell phone in one hand and the desk phone in the other, has about 10 tabs open on his computer and is trying to put something in the trash can with his foot.

And that's a result of his boss asking him to draw up plans to defeat a competitor on a zoning project.

I have defended/liked Dakich but, man, he makes it hard sometimes. His criticism for all things IU has worn me out. I'm an old guy and even I realize the "good old days" weren't as good as I remember and the present isn't as bad as I think.

After being around one of them for a few years, and the other not caring for me I think I would rather have a sharp fork in the eye then listen to them talk about anything.

Still blame Crean for knocking Wade out of his funk that one year against the Pacers. Heat should have give Crean a ring.

I've got baseball coaches from when I was 10-12 years old that I still call Coach and pick their brain about what approach to take when teaching fundamentals of the game to my son. I would honestly hope that the great players Crean had here will still seek his advice and input. It didn't work out here from a team concept, but I will never question the ability of the man to impact individual lives on and off the court.

I think it was widely regarded that Tom Crean needed to keep Jonas Hayes on staff to help with the transition and hit the ground running. Well, Hayes accepted assistant job at Xavier, leaving the south and his alma mater behind.
