Not sure where to put this but Devonte is in my speech class and everyday we go around while the AI takes attendance and tell something good and bad that has happened to us.  Devonte said his good was he didn't have to practice today and it was because of his bad which was he hurt his shoulder.  He wasn't wearing anything so it may not be serious but just something to keep an eye on.

Do you stare at him like a weirdo every class?  I probably would.

What are his speeches like?  Has he seemed very transferry recently?  Is there a lot of east coast in his classwork?

I’m sure someone will slam me for saying this, but I’m not sure I like hearing that he considers missing practice a good thing... I feel like Oladipo would say “Well the bad thing is that I had to miss practice but luckily it gave me some extra time in the film room.” 

That being said, I wish him a speedy recovery. I still think Green has the potential to be a special player.

Could mean “with a sore shoulder I’m glad coach gave us all the day off.”

I could be wrong, but after watching him take a full on face full of Mike Watkins’s shoulder and come back with fire and guts against PSU, I’m pretty sure that begging off due to physical discomfort is NOT a problem with DeVonte.

Whoops, looks like you’re right. I misread the original post (or it was edited) and didn’t see the part saying that the good was because of the bad.

Someone on a game thread made the comment during the game that Green was sitting on the bench twiddling his thumbs after he got benched for that 10 second call. His disinterest in the game and then my original interpretation of the post in this thread was starting to concern me. 

I’m just holding out hope that everything clicks with him because he has a lot of potential.

Davis is probably smart enough to know that he needs to change his game if he ever wants to go to the NBA. 

Yeah he could transfer to a system that fit him better but that gets him playing time. Changing as a player may get him closer to his goal.

It was actually only the second class and he wasn't at the first one since there was a game on Tuesday.  He came in like 3 minutes late so I had to do a double take when I saw him walk in.  But, since it was just his first day in the class, he hasn't given any speeches yet.

I had speech class with Lawrence Frank. Always thought his speeches were East Coasty.

Mostly, I just remember "Teaneck New Jersey", on day 1.  Had no idea who he became, until I saw a picture of the Nets interim head coach who started 13-0 and I was like, "Whoa! That kid was in my speech class at IU".

I won't disagree, but I think they are also really just starting to come together and get CAM's system as well. They played many pretty long stretches without Davis and never played as well as they are now.

Having said that, Davis doesn't seem like the kind of player CAM would have recruited for his style of play.
