This sounds dramatic but I promise you that it will play a part......this team quitting on their coach is the worst possible thing that could happen to Archie in terms of recruiting.... he has a huge hole to dig out of. These kids could have helped to lay a foundation for something special. Instead they quit as show zero pride. They’re losers. Harsh but true.

Yep and that's why we won't land Romeo.  MSU is FF bound this season and after this clusterF of a season it will be hard for Brooks to tell Izzo no.  TJD is an absolute must get and if he goes elsewhere Fred might as well have the lawyers fire up the paperwork and I hope the BOT tells them to add some for Fred too for not hiring the obvious hire in Gregg Marshall.

We just got whooped by walkons. We got destroyed by two other teams that are barely D1.

Earn your money Archie. This is extremely concerning, and you need to figure it out.

I’ve been on the Archie bandwagon and I’m not saying fire him either, not yet. But this isn’t good, something has got to change. I almost agree with Dakich, new starting lineup next game. Who gives a flying *** what kid we lose out of it. I’m done!

De’Ron Davis since the UofL game is averaging 5.8pts 4rebounds 48%fg in like 17mpg. Note we played Youngstown st, tenn tech, and ipfw in 3 of those 5 games too. Light a fire under someone’s backside!

Pretty much. I'm fine with a lot of guys transferring this off season. Most of them tbh. Next year will be rough. Might as well realize it now and hope that year 3 has enough talent and new guys to compete.

Broken record, I know, but we're paying dearly for keeping Crean past 2015.

Worst team Wisconsin has had in two decades and they still beat us by double digits. We're freaking terrible.

Agree totally. I will never understand why some guys keep seeing the floor. RJ and Newkirk both need to see some pine!!

These past 2 seasons are killing my love for IU basketball. I really like Miller and want to give him a chance, but I’m with Wayne. I see no way this isn’t a 3 year rebuild, and that hurts.

Every season we have like this is another where we lose elite status. We’re not a blue blood anymore. Other schools are rising the ranks and getting more consistent while we flounder season after season. I’m going to give us a chance with Archie, but I’m not sure how much longer we have before kids view us as mediocre.

It really hurts to type all that

You would think there would be one or two guys on the team who would get the boys together and say, "C'mon, this is unacceptable. We're not playing hard. We're not playing smart. This has to change." ... As much as this season sucks for us, it can't be much fun for them, either. And while the only thing we can control is whether we watch or not, they can control the effort and the passion with which they play. And right now, there is very little. There were flashes against Duke and Notre Dame, but that has to come out for 40 minutes a game for every game. Why these guys don't understand it is beyond me. And while I'm still behind Archie, I don't get why he can't get it out of them. Effort can make up for a lot. We're 15 games in. It's time to wake the eff up! Like Nuke Laloosh said: "Winning -- it's like, better than losing."

Cool. We aren’t talking about 1 player. We are talking about 90+% of an entire roster. His hands are tied. I will admit, I do not understand McSwain getting the mins that Smith should be getting.

His hands aren't tied. He's the man in charge. Earn your money Archie. Fix this disgrace.

I think we can say bye bye to Romeo, Brooks, and TJD. Who wants to play for this dumpster fire? The program is dead.

I've wondered for a while, and now am becoming convinced of it, that Archie needs to concentrate on recruiting HIS kind of player.  Players that will be here a while and build the program and style of play - not one-year rentals that just want to audition for the NBA and pick up some hardware to go along with their cup of coffee.  Rebuild and establish your brand and then look toward the thoroughbreds.

Everybody needs to stop panicking about this program and Archie...the talent on this team is just not very good at all. Crean left the cupboard bare to say the least. We have ZERO shooters and a terrible PG. Hard to win with that combination especially on the road in the B1G regardless of how bad the other team is. If you understand basketball you can see Archie is trying to get these players to play within themselves and they have to play FLAWLESS if they want any chance to win because they aren't good at all. These players aren't used to playing defense or disciplined basketball and again WE CANT SHOOT! Everyone will be back on the bandwagon and calling for Archie to be COY next year. If we see the same results next year it's really time to panic but I can't see that happening at all. Crean did a terrible job of recruiting the state and that is showing big time as we're losing top players year in and year out. Next year we have 2 of the 3 best players in the state coming in here and there is a slight chance we get ALL of the top 3 to build the base to something special. Give him time to get his players and system in place. Nobody was gonna come in right away and win with this team...they're just bad and we need to just accept it and move on. Playing with house money this season in my opinion.

I still say it's mostly bad players who have simply checked out.  They came here to play for a players coach who would do nothing but stand and clap all game while they jacked 3s and defense was always an option never a requirement.   Archie is the polar opposite of Crean.  These soft @$$ guys just aren't going to mesh well with him.  It really reminds me of what happened when Sampson was canned and Dakich took over.
