Where does Butler go now? They have had a pretty good run of hiring very good coaches for a small school. Except for Brandon Miller, an excellent string of coaches actually.

At some point, a few people on here were hot to trot for Ronald Nored to be the coach at IU.  As a Butler alum, seems like he would be worth a look.

Apparently nobody caught my sarcasm with my crean comment cough cough old fart and NC.

I saw it but was simply speechless that anyone could even consider such a thing!  The anti-Crean noise from Butler is already very loud and I think he's got about as much chance of getting that job as the proverbial snowball in hell.  My second favorite school is going to have to learn that if it wants to run with the big Dawgs (pun intended) it will have to open up the checkbook or it's going to have a never ending coaching carousel.  One of the prices it's paying for having moved to the Big East.

I'd take Joey Brunk as a transfer.

I would not.  He is not that good, even my co-worker who is a Butler grad says Brunk reportedly has not impressed anyone in practices, which is why he had to redshirt.  Even his high school tape never impressed me that much, he can't run the floor very well and isn't that athletic.

Just because he's 6'10" doesn't mean he fills a need.

He redshirted because his dad was sick and ended up losing his battle with brain cancer

The B1G is in my opinion by far the best conference in the country. Absolutely stacked now with great coaches, only downside is they beat each other up all year and affects their seeding for NCAA.

You spelled ACC wrong.

Maybe in 5 years, but ACC with Coach K, Roy, Bennett, and Pitino it is not close yet. Three of four will be retired in 5 to 7 years.

Not impressed with Holtmann. I didn't want him at IU and he isn't an upgrade over Matta. At best this will be status quo for OSU over the next several years. I think Holtmann is a product of the culture at Butler, whoever goes to Butler next will keep the Butler way going.

I'm with you here. I would've been disappointed if he became IU's coach, but OSU also has lower expectations than us. Could be a good hire

Could be. I think it's better than McDermott. I was really hoping he was going to accept the position.

Good hire by the Buckeyes---but imo we did better. I would love to see Lewis get the Butler gig but I don't see that happening yet. Anyway---good to see another good coach in the Big!

Agreed. I also knew they would never get Mack. He had a great recruiting class coming in and a great situation.

Tough to say. Could be another Todd licklighter or could be good
