Popular Post Hoosier Guy Posted March 25, 2017 Popular Post Posted March 25, 2017 I think what it means is that Blackmon is gonna consider coming back for his senior year. Archie could actually draw up plays with screens for him ThompsonHoosier, Milldawg12, thebigweave and 7 others 10 Quote
Popular Post Old Friend Posted March 25, 2017 Popular Post Posted March 25, 2017 This is a hire that says Fred Glass made a decision based on what he thinks Miller WILL do, not what he has done. Our timing just hasn't been right to get a "home run." For example, Brad Stevens was never available when we were. Glass is betting on the come. Which he said he would do. Archie Miller at Indiana will be a different coach than Archie Miller at Dayton. Time will tell; and while I think everyone needs to support the man, I get some of the disappointment in the hire. I wonder if guys like me who grew up on 1976 Indiana Basketball, 1981 Indiana Basketball, etc....might need to make a harsh realization that this job just isn't what I thought it was....but then again, the University made that decision long ago. There just were not many "huge names" or home run hires available. Is this the best young guy? He's certainly a good young guy. He has won two A10 titles in a row, That's about it. He's someone I'm sure Glass thinks will be here for a long time; and I suppose time will tell. I'm not blown away, but not disappointed. IUChamp28, bleedhoosier, HoosierTrav and 10 others 13 Quote
HoosierRob Posted March 25, 2017 Posted March 25, 2017 I'm disappointed to be honest, still watch every game and be supportive of the program, but I'm underwhelmed. Quote

I love the hire, think he is easily going to take us to deeper than the Sweet Sixteen. Also, my comment was more a jab at the low expectations that Purdue fans accpet We should probably advance beyond that round first ALASKA HOOSIER 1 Quote
Dizz Posted March 25, 2017 Posted March 25, 2017 Archie is definitely the best option. Donovan - Can't win with a triple double machine Mack - No eyebrows Marshall - Looks just like Crean; wife Bennett - Too handsome, would distract our players White - Just graduate high school FortWayneHoosier, thebigweave, CR3AMnCR1MS0N and 4 others 7 Quote

Popular Post HoosiersLoveBanners Posted March 25, 2017 Popular Post Posted March 25, 2017 This move has a lateral floor, but a very high ceiling. It's the best move we could've made other than hiring Stevens or Donovan. Which ended up being unrealistic, and that's ok. It's time to get behind the coach and program again! thebigweave, Trish, IUsafety and 6 others 9 Quote

Popular Post Demo Posted March 25, 2017 Popular Post Posted March 25, 2017 Very pleased. Terrific young coach. Midwest recruiting roots. Everything out there about him as a person is highly positive. What I really like, and this is the one issue I had with Donovan, is that if Archie goes on a long successful run as an elite Coach, he will be identified and remembered as our guy. Love that. We would have always had to share Donovan's success with Florida. Welcome Coach. Milldawg12, Hoosierfan2017, IUBBFan1970 and 8 others 11 Quote
