ccgeneral Posted March 25, 2017 Posted March 25, 2017 @ESPNAndyKatz: Indiana is tentatively scheduling a news conference for Monday to introduce Dayton's Archie Miller as its next head basketball coach. Miller has been a perennial winner at Dayton. He knows the Midwest in recruiting, but is outside the Indiana family. There had been speculation that the Hoosiers would stay in the family tree, but AD Fred Glass never said that was a requirement. FloridaHoosierGirl, CR3AMnCR1MS0N, BtownBanner6 and 1 other 4 Quote

At the end of the day he's probably more likely to be the next Tom Crean than the next Bob Knight or Coach K. I think you missed the grand canyon sized gap between Coach K and Crean. Miller has taken freaking Dayton further than Crean has ever taken IU. One school is a mid major and the other is a blue blood. Tom White, Milldawg12 and NCHoosier 3 Quote

AZ Hoosier Posted March 25, 2017 Posted March 25, 2017 Look if its not Donovan, the 2nd tier coaches on all of our lists are better than what we had. With our resources we will still have the prognosis of being a better team and program with the opportunities to go on deeper tourney runs.Sent from my SM-G930P using BtownBanners mobile appBetter does not necessarily equate to 'home run hire'. Glad it isn't Marshall or Alford honestly. If we went young I hoped for White or Miller. Josh Posted March 25, 2017 Posted March 25, 2017 If Billy Donovan wanted the job, he would have the job. He apparently does not want it. Therefore, you hire your next best option. If that fractures the fan base, the fan base is stupid. This part of the fanbade thinks uour thoughts are stupid too. Hey...although fractured...we agree on something!Hire Billy! That would be outstanding RedsIUfan 1 Quote
