So just woke up, saw this thread, made my entire day.

I know it has been said that we wait until end of season to announce anything, but honestly, I wish they would make the announcement now (assuming decision has been made) so that we could give Crean a proper send off for what he has done for IU. He has maxed out and should have been gone long time ago, but he brought us back from Sampson and gave us the Watshot and for that alone, I'm thankful for him being here. I want to cheer for this team without worrying that it will save his job.

I think that is the best thing I have read regarding Crean. If an announcement was made now it gives the fan base a lift and it gives the players more to play for sending Crean off on a high note. Waiting around is only making things build up. I feel a riot coming on.

Yep. We're just trying to keep everything somewhat tidy in here. There's already 2 or 3 solid threads for rumor posting. Things will continue to be merged, so you might as well make it easier on us lol.

Thank you!! It has been very annoying going to thread to thread to keep up. Anything Crean or IU's next coach should be in this thread only. Hopefully this stops the new thread with a new rumor every 3 hours lol.

Does magnanimous have reliable sources in the past? Not trying to poke the bear, just curious. Hoping it's true obviously.

 

I WANT to root for iu to beat PU. Knowing Crean is gone would.help

St Charles Alum here! We had a great basketball team in 96..won at Edgewood on a buzzer beater, beat tri north and bachelor and played in the CYO state championship game, came up short though.
