Redandyz Posted March 1, 2017 Posted March 1, 2017 I have to disagree, it is due to lack of talent. Coaching talent that is. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBannersWhen I said in "need of work" I meant from the team culture, mental prep/grit/team cohesiveness side. I think he's always struggled with buy-in. Crean for all his faults has brought in some big recruits and under the radar talent. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app Quote

Hoosier Guy Posted March 2, 2017 Posted March 2, 2017 Archie Miller would be outstanding. Still want Donovan before him though. Can't really go wrong with either of these coaches Kepner, recker222000, ALASKA HOOSIER and 1 other 4 Quote

I think people are failing to realize that the program is teed up for a great coach. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app slightly disagree: the in-state recruiting & relationships w/ Indiana H.S. coaches needs some repair, but guys like Donovan, Miller(s), Bennett could fix that pretty quickly IMO. Besides coming off as creepy what did Crean do to alienate Indiana H.S. coaches? Theres been a definite disconnect and difference with in state recruiting since Lyles decomited Quote

Theres been a definite disconnect and difference with in state recruiting since Lyles decomited Has a lot more to do with AAU programs in the state than the HS coaches. There was a time when the in-state HS coaches complained about oversigning but those guys never had nearly the weight a lot of people think they do and most are over that whole thing. If they still have issues with Crean it's more about how a player was used in his system, so that should narrow it down considerably. mdn82, AKHoosier, Zach and 2 others 5 Quote

JSHoosier Posted March 2, 2017 Posted March 2, 2017 I'm really trying to not get my hopes up, but the more that adds to this rumor the more difficult it is. The thought of Billy Donovan having the resources of IU...that would be amazing. Sknits nad and Hurryin'Hoosier317 2 Quote
