  1. I very much recommend that you guys read the comments for that Tweet. Why? Because Prince responds to every IU fan that comments with encouragement. And moreover, for most of them (and there are many) he actually personalizes each gracious response.

  2. From B1G offices, Sunday night's game will have Robbie Hummel on the call, Robbie Hummel analyst and Robbie Hummel sideline reporting. I'm lying. It will really be Noah Reed and Brian Butch.

  6. Ok, since I’d never heard of it and was really curious what a buy game for an Incarnate Word would look like I had to dig into Jarvis Christian U for a minute. It’s an HBCU school in Hawkins, TX, which is halfway between Dallas and Shreveport and has a population of 1700, with an enrollment of 800. The last time they updated their basketball schedule was game 4 of last year. Alrighty.

  14. A lot of attention has been placed on urging fans to stay for the entire game to honor this team and its Seniors for their contributions to anothr magical season. I just want to add that being in our seats for our Seniors and their families pregame is important too. Not a bad look for the multitude of recruits who will be in attendance either. The Walk is at 9:35 for those who can make it. I likely will not but you can bet that I'll be in my seat by 11:30 and will be in it when the final gun sounds on a historic 11-0 record with one to go to finish the season undefeated! I, like many others, have waited 50+ years for this and I plan to soak up every second! Go Hoosiers!!!!!

  20. He has implemented so much in 3 games. I always thought basketball concepts took entire seasons to implement. We would still be waiting for players to adjust to the pack line defense.... This is totally unrelated, but apparently Penny Hardaway only started installing their offense and defense a few days before their first game, lol... DDV clearly knows what he is doing when it comes to X's and O's. I take a lot of comfort in that.

  22. Never too early to talk bracketology. You can’t make the tourney this early in the season with your on court results but you can sure help your case by taking care of business. IU has won their first 3 games by 23 points or more with one of those teams being a power 5 team that will be competing for a tourney spot. Never a bad thing to start out your journey for a bid with a little cushion instead of playing catch up. IU is no longer bringing a knife to a gun fight with the metrics part of the equation. Glad this staff plays the game. This doesn’t guarantee anything but from my point of view following the metrics this is a breath of fresh air seeing IU enter the chat in playing the metrics game. Keep taking care of business and IUs first NET number should be a good one to start from

  23. Incarnate Word is 2-1 on the season. They lost their opener 98-64 to Colorado State and then defeated Jarvis Christian U. 104-60 and beat Southwestern Christian 109-70. Last year's team finished 19-17. Live Stats Varsity Network Radio WHCC radio

  25. Two teams compete for the greatest trophy in collegiate sports. Move over Old Oaken Bucket and Brass Spittoon. I give you...The MSB Trophy! (IYKYK) Rules How does this work? For each game, I will create a Prediction League thread. It's a simple concept: Each game you start with 100 points (only if a prediction is made, otherwise 0 points for the game) + 25 pts if you guess the winner - 25 pts if you pick the loser + 25 pts if guess IU score correctly (Up from 10) + 25 pts if guess Opponent score correct (Up from 10) - The # of points different between the actual and predicted score of IU (over/under doesn't matter) - The # of points different between the actual and predicted score of opponent (over/under doesn't matter) Also, the highest scorer(s) of the game gets 25 pts for a new maximum of 200 points. *** Reminder if you post a prediction and want to change it, please just POST a NEW Prediction, do not edit a prior post as I may miss those edits. The person with the most points (MINUS THREE (3) LOWEST GAMES) at the end of the season wins. ONLY POST PREDICTIONS IN THIS THREAD, THANK YOU

  29. I kind of can't believe that, through all the coaching carousel articles I read, neither Shanahan nor Haines ever get mentioned. Cig is the story, he's the CEO, but those two make this program go. They're guys that get picked up in the second wave of the carousel, but it's crazy to me that we read about the Collin Kleins of the world and nothing about either of our guys.

One more post on this. This ended up being the second most watched game last weekend and viewership peaked at a massive 11M people for the Coop Catch. Most of the CFB world tuned in with the majority probably hoping for an upset. Instead they got an amazing drive and maybe the best catch of the year. I’m glad they saw it.

  40. More miscellaneous tidbits after Hammy woke up and clocked in. The last time IU scored at least 90 points in three straight games was in 2015 when IU beat Morehead State (92-59), IPFW (90-65), and McNeese State (105-60) December 5-9-12, 2015. Indiana basketball averaging 12.6 made 3-pointers through first three games, that would put them on pace for 390 threes this season, team's single-season record is 345, have only hit more than 300 threes twice in team history Darian DeVries on the reaction from fans: 'Hopefully they see guys who play the right way, play hard, unselfish ... ultimately that's what we want people to take joy in, watching them all play together.' Tayton Conerway is averaging 6.3 assists per game. No #iubb player has exceeded 5 APG since 2021-22, and no one else that year topped 2 APG. This year, four others have 2+ APG.
