Yep. I’ve said it before but IU should thank it’s lucky stars we’re in one of the two conferences that are ahead of the game. On our own we’re terrible at football and are a mediocre basketball team (although historically great). That’s a recipe for getting left out. UNC and Kansas are, at least, currently high profile basketball programs and they’re potentially in danger of being left out in the rain. They look like they’ll both make it into a good situation, but nothing is guaranteed. We’re a historical member of the B1G and the B1G has been the most savvy conference in the tv regard the last decade-plus. We’re fortunate, imo.6 points -
This doesn’t bother me at all. Definitely different, but won’t affect how I watch CBB or CFB. It’s actually kinda fun. We’ve been heading toward this outcome for a really, really long time now.3 points

Big Ten is going to invite Oregon and Washington to join the league

Once we get to 20 teams I am trying to figure out how we will do the conference tournament. All of this is because of football I just wish that football do their own thing and leave all other sports the way it is. For college basketball you don't need 20 teams in the conference because there is no way you can play every team.2 points -
Oh whateverrrrr. It’s a change for sure. I do love the west coast. If I cared more about CFB I’d likely have a different reaction. The B1G is a little boring so an infusion of new teams and playing styles can be good. It’s a pro-league at this point anyway so the coast to coast thing isn’t a big deal. Schedules for BB should be more balanced, and winning the conference will be even more impressive. Why does it feel like at NCAA offices they’re still spending more time arguing over executive parking spots and vending machine choices than addressing their loss of control.2 points

I understand the competition was weak, but I really liked what I saw from our new players! I think JL is going to be really good. I also thought Lexus looks a lot stronger, quicker, and more confident. Will she be our starting PG?2 points -

I foresee a B1G and SEC only conference in the future. Much like what pro leagues have. (NFL: AFC v NFC, MLB:NL v AL, NBA: EC v WC, etc. etc.) And I wouldn't be at all surprised if this is what the NCAA desires. It's unfortunate because non-P5 schools are screwed. In my neck of the woods, schools like UE and USI will be toast if the NCAA turns into a two conference association.1 point

Any semblance of tradition was ruined when they added USC/UCLA (arguably when they added Rutgers), so might as well acquire all the top programs you can now. Better to be in the Big 10’s or SEC’s position position than the other conferences now scrambling for scraps.1 point -
And not a great high school team though they were supposed to be an all star team. LeMendola is confident. IU Ladies ran up and down with very little resistance. Parrish is a ⭐️ star. Learned not to much more than 0 other than IU Ladies can play basketball. Game can be watched on International Tournament utube under. Sports Illustrated IU fans nation1 point

Not a bad showing today for the first game of the road trip. Winning 120-50. Not a good team that they played against but you aren't going to lose many games when you hit 17 3's Sent from my Pixel 6a using Tapatalk1 point -

At least it's good to be one of the schools in the super conference rather than out, but God it's miserable knowing how and why we're becoming a bloated monster.1 point -

Basically this. The NCAA can no longer really sustain itself as the one-stop shop governing body. The “super conferences “ are just filling the power vacuum left by the NCAA and supercharged by live sports revenue (boosted by streaming killing off cable). Things will look a lot like the past just with the SEC and B1G dictating terms to the NCAA. And at this point the SECBIG coalition is shaping up to be about ~40 of the historical 50-60 teams that were major conf participants anyways. It’ll look different from afar but the games will be the games.1 point -

He’s sitting to the right of the dude in the green. There are guys who claim to be basketball junkies and then there’s the genuine article. Fino is the latter. Annor Boateng’s at that camp. Have become pretty fond of that kid. If Fino wants to do a little work on that one, that’d be ok.1 point -

Conference realignment will ruin college sports. Period. Moves made by greed. It's not about trying to make a better product. Only greed. Greed will kill it.1 point -
