I can’t imagine being a fan of a program and complaining about a 10-2 record. To be that spoiled.

We had four years of Tim Priller. We were that spoiled.

Looks as if Schiano is going back to Rutgers after all ... Will be interesting to see how this works ... It seems coaching reduxes don't always work out so well: John Robinson at Southern Cal, Petrino at Lousiville, Edsall at UConn (so far).

It was very impressive what he did at Rutgers his first stint there. It also occurred after Miami, Virginia Tech and BC  left the conference and schools like UConn were getting to the Orange Bowl due to the void left. It’ll take him five years to get this turned around, if he can.

I agree with what has been said that a second bite at the apple at the same school like Schiano usually does not go well. Definitely an upgrade from what Rutgers had but certainly no guarantee this works.

The standard has been set - they haven’t missed the CFP since it started so missing it is a death toll for them.

Charlie Strong being fired at USF is good for IU imo.  Those two compete for a lot of local Tampa Bay recruits.  The local paper has had articles about it for a while, so the 8 win season for us and a coach firing for them makes us look even better

Depends who they hire. New coaches could generate some immediate hype.

Absolutely, and no recruit is the same.  Right now the rumor is they hire Wille Taggert.  But the relationships built by Allen in the area are strong and getting better.

Tedford makes about $3 mil so it might be better to go that route and launch from there

The starting salary would be around 1.5 million. Only about 6-8 assistants get that in the country so he's gone if they offer.

Not that it really matters all that much, but the PAC 12 made it super easy for the committee to put either Oklahoma or Baylor in the slot to get destroyed by OSU
