Fact: Alabama scheduled Western Kentucky, South Florida, Wisconsin, and Mercer in the non-conference. And he keeps babbling about their strength of schedule but two of their three losses were against crappy teams. Their LOSSES, not just the schedule, need to be emphasis more by the commentators (thankfully the committee didn’t listen to ESPN and decided to keep Bama out). go iu bb 1 Quote
IndianaSconnie90 Posted December 8, 2024 Posted December 8, 2024 Sweet Lou this couldn't have worked out better. I would expect IU fans to make that trip easily, no excuse go iu bb 1 Quote

LamarCheeks Posted December 8, 2024 Posted December 8, 2024 Not sure why Penn State gets off scot-free in these guys' eyes! Granted, they did play in the B1G title game -- but that was by virtue of tiebraker. They haven't beaten anybody. Why do they get a pass? DChoosier 1 Quote

Demo Posted December 8, 2024 Posted December 8, 2024 Glad to hear Davis bring up IU in the SMU/Bama conversation because I’d be willing to bet my house that there was a decent segment of that committee that wanted to keep SMU in because of the championship game piece and Bama because of SOS and leave IU out. I don’t think IU was close to a lock here. Quote

Not a chance. The likely discussions with IUFB was more about hosting a game. JerryYeagley23, Demo, Banksyrules and 3 others 6 Quote
Trish Posted December 8, 2024 Posted December 8, 2024 So damn proud of this program and staff. I knew we were going to be over 5.5 wins like Vegas predicted. But to be in the playoffs in the first year? Incredible. I've been to one game this season, couldn't make anymore due to my job and location but have watched every game. I hope you all enjoy going to the game if you're able to in a couple weeks. Go Hoosiers! J34, Hardwood83, LamarCheeks and 4 others 7 Quote

Yeah, no way they wanted to set that precedent. Plus, the CFP chair is Michigan AD Warde Manuel. Quote
