Not to get ahead of ourselves, but UNT is coming to Bloomington next September to kick-off the season.

So we may win that game? Lol

Haines is making $2 mil this year and Shanahan $1.15 mil vs Morris (was) making $1.4 mil as HC.

N Texas in the AAC is gonna have to probably triple their HC salary to get those either of those two.

If you want to be a head coach you have to become a head coach.

Cig took a big pay cut when he left Bama to become the HC at IU Pennsylvania.
I’m sure many thought he was nuts but……..

I don’t (obviously) want to lose Haines but am predicting that the JMU coach will get a P4 job and Haines will become the JMU HC.

Hope I’m wrong.

Everyone is blaming Kiffin, probably rightfully so. What a circus. I hate what college football has become. Guy has built that program and has a legit shot a NC.....but that is all over-shadowed by "will he choose LSU or Florida?!?" Disgusting.

The fact that he could win a NC where he’s at and he’s still likely heading elsewhere is a problem of his own making. If Cig is willing to stick around no other coach has an excuse

Ok, help an old dude out. I looked at 1 Diego Pavia for the Heisman thread on Sunday and made the mistake of replying. Elon’s algo took over and now my timeline is just a tsunami of all things Vandy football. I wouldn’t even mind it all that much except that they are straight up exceptionally whiney bitche$. Actually worse than most SEC fanbases.
How do I get out of this?

Great question. I was wondering the same thing. They are insufferable people.

Good. Based on what you viewed, you deserve this punishment.

Difference being Cig is in his 60’s and Kiffin is 50. Cig may be looking at IU as his last job. Kiffin has a ways to go and a long time to pursue natty’s and $$$

Alex Golesh to Arkansas, apparently.

If I rooted for Arkansas, I think I would be excited by this?

Agree, objectively I'm not sure they can do much better.  I will be curious how Golesh's contract shakes out in terms of NIL commitment, staff salary, etc.  Arkansas is a tough gig in the conference.

I think you’re spot on.  A pretty good source said their roster cost $14M in total this year, which obviously is quite low, especially in the admittedly very competitive SEC where schools are spending $30-40M on their rosters.

People say bball and even baseball eats up NIL there.

Tough.  I’m kinda surprised Tyson and/or Jerrah Jones aren’t helping football more.  Maybe they will…

I wouldn’t take that Arkansas job unless I have guaranteed Chicken Nugget money backing my program.

I’m pretty shocked that they didn’t. Saw that thing from the AD about Pittman not having adequate resources to compete in the SEC and couldn’t really fathom that.

just kidding

LOL, wouldn't that be a dagger in the back of Nebraska if he went to Bloomington and killed it.  I don't think it will happen, but it would be funny to me.

Pete Thamel -

Sources: Brian Kelly has been informed in writing that he’s been terminated by LSU without cause. This means LSU is set to owe him the nearly $54 million remaining on his contract.

In the annals of terrible coaching hires at the highest of high majors, football or basketball, is this the worst? I mean, short of a Kelvin Sampson/IUBB sort of situation. They hired a total cultural misfit who was already 60. The previous 4 years they went 36-15 and won a Natty. In his time they were 34-14 and never finished top 10. They paid the dude NINETY MILLION DOLLARS to get no better and look like utter freaking buffoons at the end of it. Are you kidding me? And you knew it was never going to. At least when Woodward hired Fisher at A&M you could understand the fit. But Brian Kelly and LSU football was absurd on its face. I mean, Jesus.
