Wow I have seen too many people shoot from the hip on this DG recruitment but this one takes the cake. I don't even know how you derive everything that has happened and somehow arrive at an answer like this.

I’m not saying they cut off cold turkey. I’m saying when Darius wouldn’t commit, perhaps CAM read between the lines....he does have a PG in the class already afterall...just a theory.

Remember, Archie visited a few days after HH when he allegedly almost committed.   My total guess is Archie asked for a commitment, Darius struggled and almost did When he didn’t, IU moved on, didn’t visit again, and that may be viewed as a slap in the face by DG, so now UCLA is publicly 2nd.   Moving on.....

After I get over the disappointment and tepid anger at today, I take solace in the fact it's not like we're without a point guard in the 2018 class.
I can't wait to follow Phinisee this year, and am excited to see him develop at IU.

We still have a darn good class coming in. I think Durham and Phin will man the PG role just fine.

I have no problem with his decision but I do think he made the wrong decision.  But that’s based through my older eyes.  Kids always think they can change the world but what makes a program like IU more appealing is that long after you stop playing basketball fan bases like IU will always remember you and treat you right. I saw Chaney not too long ago and I was jaw dropped. More connections, but again I’m looking at it through an old man’s eyes.

Agreed. In fact as I have said 3-4 year players may be for the best in this system. 

I just really wanted the studs to speed up the rebuild.

My opinion most one and done players do not want to be coached up but want to come in and play and have fun. I remember calipari said more than once that kentucky is not for all players. Referring to the pressure he will put on them or coaching them up as its called. I see archie very similar especially early on. Darius personality is to easy going to be pushed hard everyday.

i think they really may end up playing together but acting like Romeo can't make his own decision is my problem with it. BTW Brooks and Watford very well could go to those schools. Both are seen as main competition for us as well as the other schools involved. I have no problems with people saying a kid is going here or there but the way that was worded is what bothered me.

I hope he does well, but unless Romeo follows suit I probably won't watch him until he gets to the NBA.
