This is exactly why we take Phinisee. We would be without a PG if we waited on Garland. This way we got a solid in state kid who will be very solid in the future.

The Garlands didnt tell anyone to make it sound close. If anything the opposite. They said they had one school in mind for weeks. Most just assumed it was us on here. The national guys tried warning us too. I was wrong and it happens, but the Garlands didnt do a thing wrong. I take it as too much optimism as IU fans/writers and am hoping that is what happened not that Rabs or anyone for that matter tried to spin the recruitment. Archie has gave a lot of us faith we havent had in awhile in these kind of recruitments. Time to move on now though.

Now we know why Archie never went down to visit again. Also the he's close to committing after HH was never true.

Vanderbilt’s last 3 classes were ranked 10, 14, and 8 in the SEC. I think I’ll wait and see what they can do but I don’t see them ever being in the NC conversation even if they do land 3 five stars for next year.

Looks like they gave embargoed quotes to each of the major outlets, just that ESPN chose to ignore the request. Daniels is basically pandering to future recruits with that tweet though. Saying, "you can trust me with your news".

Appreciate this and all the great posts and insights you gave through this. Keep more of these coming in the Romeo recruitment! 

 

As for the rest of you acting like the earth is falling, take that crap somewhere else. Everything ive heard from people actually plugged in, is people still saying Indiana leads for Romeo even with Darius going to Vandy. They also have said they don't see that changing so shut up and chill out. The crying and negative posting is literally painful to watch.

I think once we accepted the Phinisee commitment we (the staff) had a pretty good feel of where DG was going.

Duke knew. They knew long ago. I think we did too and just stayed in the race anyway because of Romeo.

I said this at the time of the Phinisee commitment. I think it holds true.

Congrats to Darius on his college choice. His recruitment has been a blast to follow closely. The over-sign in my opinion was never going to be an issue, and after these first 2 games I think there will be roster turnover. I fully expect CAM to recruit in the late signing period. Maybe Courtney Ramey

I think a majority of "US" should've known when we saw Vandy on Langford's final 3. I mean.. it's common sense right? haha
