cjvz20 Posted February 26, 2016 Posted February 26, 2016 Troy can take this team from very good to great but he also can take this team from very good to below average. He can win and lose games for IU.exactly. If he's engaged in defense and doesn't try to dribble between three guys we will be a very good team. I think Crean did a good job of taking him out in first half when he's defense was lacking then he came back in and played better. Him getting hurt in second half helped start The game winning run too Napleshoosier, ALASKA HOOSIER and HoosierAloha 3 Quote
Popular Post bleedhoosier Posted February 26, 2016 Popular Post Posted February 26, 2016 Guys - this isn't fools gold anymore. This team is flexing. Crean is backing off practices? Deep rotation, adjustments, post feeding, straight up man defense. He's more calm. I gotta give it to the dude. He is doing EXACTLY what we wanted. All that us left is the deep run. I did think that was a horrible move by Crean to match up with Illinois guards instead of just going big on them with Max/TB or OG to start.. granted, Niego played great in his role. However, adjustments were made and we looked specifically for the post feed over and over. I'll hold off a bit but Tom Crean has his guys balling right now. And Yogi just BULLIED Kendrick Nunn. Stole his lunch and put him in a locker. When Yogi locks in like that (Stauskus), it's over. Sent from my SCH-I545 using Tapatalk IUsafety, Crimson and Cream, Naturalhoosier and 14 others 17 Quote

cjvz20 Posted February 26, 2016 Posted February 26, 2016 Two of his starters out. JBJ and RoJo. Plus Troy sat injured for most of the second half.so you are saying injuries are helping him be a better coach because he has less options to choose from lol Alford Bailey, jmsgws and ALASKA HOOSIER 3 Quote
Class of '66 Old Fart Posted February 26, 2016 Posted February 26, 2016 Told y'all not to worry although I was more than a little nervous at halftime. Would love to know what the halftime locker room conversation was. The 2nd half was a great display of what this team can do. JBJ out for the season; RoJo out indefinitely and Troy goes down for extended minutes. 3/5 of our early season established starting lineup out of action and we didn't let us phase us. Truly a team effort and tremendous support from our bench. A really great win! mamasa, HoosierAloha, ALASKA HOOSIER and 1 other 4 Quote
Popular Post Hovadipo Posted February 26, 2016 Popular Post Posted February 26, 2016 I loved how Dakich went on and on about how much Crean is relaxing his practice tendencies late in the year. I think the results of that are pretty apparent. hoosierdogg, JaybobHoosier, mamasa and 7 others 10 Quote
Popular Post Trish Posted February 26, 2016 Popular Post Posted February 26, 2016 What am I suppose to do in the fire tom Crean thread? He's making changes that's been needed for the past 4 years. Can't let up now, he's gotta get this team to play in the second weekend of the dance this year. If we keep playing like this, anything less than second weekend might be a failure. I'll determine that after Maryland game. Also, my pre game thread prediction stands at 0-5 this season. We may be onto something here gentlemen ALASKA HOOSIER, JaybobHoosier, hoosierdogg and 5 others 8 Quote
The Ola Depot Posted February 26, 2016 Posted February 26, 2016 I loved how Dakich went on and on about how much Crean is relaxing his practice tendencies late in the year. I think the results of that are pretty apparent.May have been the cause of the late season swoon we've seen before. Less intense practices this year and with two games left it hasn't happened yet. cappymo14 Posted February 26, 2016 Posted February 26, 2016 I tell you what. I was pretty down during the first half of this one. I was angry, and expecting the worst. This team Suprised me tonight. Run it back. Down big early, crowd getting rowdy, Indiana did not fold. No. They clawed back and kept themselves afloat. Endured. I know who the opponent is. I don't care. The pressure to perform has never been bigger. Second half, I believe what we saw was the senior leaders of this team, decide enough was enough. The team as a whole in fact. On the road, with title implications, could have given in to pressure. They didnt. They put the hammer down and shut the UI offense off like a light. Very proud of this team tonight because they did exactly what I think a championship team would have done. Go get this title boys, it's yours. You earned it. Been on vacation (carry over from last year).. probably get up about 8 or 9 Hope light bragging is welcome. OG and Juwan - you are loved. I even saw emotion from OG telling the ref his arm was pulled down. That's a first.
