WayneFleekHoosier Posted March 18, 2018 Posted March 18, 2018 I've had 3 hockey games in the past 24 hours. I missed all the fun. Sounds like a wild game. If Romeo "watch" hasn't been declared, it's official now. Sent from my iPad using BtownBanners woodenshoemanHoosierfan 1 Quote

Hoosier1984 Posted March 18, 2018 Posted March 18, 2018 I can confirm. That Bryce Drew told coach Shannon after the game, that if New Albany had scored more points than Warren Central, they in fact, would've won the game.I can also confirm Drew spent most of the night at the concession stand waiting for the cheese whiz machine to warm up to use as a topping for his hot dog. Then asked a random fan why the teams were sitting on the sideline and not under the basket Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app ALASKA HOOSIER, WayneFleekHoosier, CR3AMnCR1MS0N and 2 others 5 Quote

Then he might have traveled to Bloomington, Illinois instead. IUBBFan1970 1 Quote

Possibly Austin Boucher? If Newman jumps in rankings he might be up there too in refreshes. Kid is good. This AAU season will be interesting. Class of '66 Old Fart, thebigweave and Iugradman 3 Quote
LamarCheeks Posted March 18, 2018 Posted March 18, 2018 Forgive my ignorance (like you haven't already!), but I watched a little of the Warren Central-New Albany game online today and noticed three officials. They don't always use three at high school games, do they? ... Is it just for playoffs? ... Last weekend, I watched a little of the regionals to see Damezi and Romeo play and didn't notice three officials -- but I wasn't really paying much attention to that. chicagoHOOSIER 1 Quote

Class of '66 Old Fart Posted March 18, 2018 Posted March 18, 2018 Game write-up from the New Albany paper at the link below. Romeo was 13-27 from the field and 7-12 from the line. As a team, New Albany was only 14-24 on FT's and that was the ballgame. http://www.newsandtribune.com/sports/boys-basketball-warren-central-beats-bulldogs-at-the-buzzer/article_fa3656c6-2a2a-11e8-bc31-4bed1c961779.html CR3AMnCR1MS0N and Jam 2 Quote

I keep thinking about this in comparison to Archie’s seat courtside for two games last weekend. It obviously doesn’t mean we know anything about the outcome of things, but I like it. I’d guess either Arch is smarter or better connected or both, or whoever assigned coach/media seating at Seymour is using their limited power to advance an agenda — maybe all of the above. Recall that Arch even got into the locker room after the regional semifinal win. chicagoHOOSIER, A.j. Nigh, ThompsonHoosier and 4 others 6 1 Quote

Popular Post Yogi's Picnic Basket Posted March 18, 2018 Popular Post Posted March 18, 2018 After last night, Romeo talked with a few people about his high school career, but my understanding is he didn't want to discuss his recruitment. Sounds like the family wants to take a few days to gather themselves and will start locking in on wrapping this thing up. Rumor is he would like to visit IU after next weekend. The McDonalds game sounds like it'll be a release of sorts for him. Also would probably narrow his announcement to a New Albany or through ESPN kind of like how James Blackmon did it appears. Archie has done a great job and regardless deserves credit for how close he has gotten to landing Romeo. I get when there isn't news, theories are the only thing people can hold onto, but let's not go crazy with it. Everyone has the right to assumptions heck we all do it, but also remember it's his choice not ours. If he chooses Vandy or KU it's time to move on. It'll sting if we lose him and it will be awesome if we get him. It should be that simple. Non related, but I also want to give Alex Bozich a shout out for his tweet and when it completely backfired he didn't delete it. That is rare lol. Popular Post Yogi's Picnic Basket Posted March 18, 2018 Popular Post Posted March 18, 2018 Ryan Taylor would immediately become our biggest target once this one wraps. I believe we'd take him and Romeo but realistically if we got one of them, our team has a LOT better outlook next year. thebigweave, CR3AMnCR1MS0N, theriverpilot and 5 others 8 Quote

Starters: Phinisee, Langford, Taylor, Morgan, Thompson? Bench: Green, Durham, McRoberts, Hunter, Smith, Davis, Moore, Forrester, Anderson The size and the length of that team could cause some serious issues for some teams. Now I know we'll have to wait and see if anyone transfers but that team could make a deep tourney run imo. Hopefully CAM can convince Romeo and Taylor of that as well. Kepner and Iugradman 2 Quote
