Hoosierfan2017 Posted October 22, 2017 Posted October 22, 2017 Romeo is in no rush obviously, but if we're where he wants to go then I could see him committing before his season starts. Imagine the love he'd get everywhere if he was playing his senior season as an IU commit. When did Damon Bailey commit? Maybe that's something he mentioned to Romeo. But us a family and as parents, we may say, ‘these are our three.’ But if he says, ‘this is the one I want,’ we’re going to go where he wants to go. As a matter of fact, he can tell me tonight, tomorrow or whenever that we don’t need to take the trip to Kansas and we won’t. We won’t take a trip just to be taking it.“If he’s confident in the school he wants to go to, so be it. The plan is go to Kansas this weekend and then right before the (high school) season starts, around mid-November, narrow it down to three. But if he says he’s ready, we’ll just make a decision.”He's committing early. This is such a departure from what Tim's been saying for the last year.Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app ElectricBoogaloo, IUsafety, ThompsonHoosier and 12 others 15 Quote

Stuhoo Posted October 23, 2017 Posted October 23, 2017 Wowza-wowza-wowza-wowzaIt’s not a good idea to read too much into a positive post-visit article; they happen most every time. But this article seems a little different. I just don’t see UNC as his destination. If he DID cancel that Kansas visit? Hmmmm. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners lillurk, d_wilson787, CR3AMnCR1MS0N and 4 others 7 Quote

Hoosier Guy Posted October 23, 2017 Posted October 23, 2017 That quote absolutely says IU knocked it out of the park. He’s gonna commit in the fall. Been saying it for months tomwsilvey@aol.com, Bobman1, Hoosier Roots and 2 others 5 Quote
Yogi's Picnic Basket Posted October 23, 2017 Posted October 23, 2017 Honestly, you'd be crazy not to take Mr. Langford's comments as anything other than IU is the clear favorite. Things can change as this weekend really put us on top for both kids it sounds like. The KU visit could blow him away too, but things are definitely looking up. Romeo is ours barring a KU miracle. cthomas Posted October 23, 2017 Posted October 23, 2017 We may not get either Romeo or Darius, but I am really impressed with the job that Coach Miller has done in getting us in contention. This just feels so different from years past. I am very optimistic about the '19 class and the future of Indiana basketball. Maybe this time we really are back! Yogi's Picnic Basket Posted October 23, 2017 Posted October 23, 2017 I have said the same Hoosier Guy. I truly believed this visit would do the trick. Didn't expect it to go that well though. Great job to the fans, coaches and players for making this weekend one people won't forget for awhile. CR3AMnCR1MS0N, Hoosier Guy, MIUGA and 1 other 4 Quote
Yogi's Picnic Basket Posted October 23, 2017 Posted October 23, 2017 Took the KU comments the same way. If they were that invested in them and they were the clear leader people said not too long ago which was crazy, no way they even mention cancelling. Iugradman, CR3AMnCR1MS0N and Napleshoosier 3 Quote

Sent from my iPhone using BtownBannersI don't see him doing that either, but very odd to throw that out there if Kansas were in the lead or someone weren't a clear favorite. I would be shocked if he did cancel, but going on OV's every weekend would be tiring for a kid.
