Not exactly accurate. It reduces the impact that each individual recruit has on the overall rating of the class.

Can't do it since Race isn't part of their 2018 rankings, but I think it would possibly give us a top 3 class. Not as simple as taking the 17.7 you saw and adding it though.

No problem. If you just look at the average recruit ranking, you can get a good idea as well. Or just the break down of 5 and 4 starts in a class. Duke has four 5 stars and UK has three 5 stars and one 4 star - so they seem to be clearly "better" classes in the rankings even if we add another 4 start to our mix.

When I was the announcement yesterday I was sitting in the same area as the Vandy fan who was booed. I thought it was funny because he said that's ok our recruiting class is still ranked higher. Well not any more. Theirs is 12 or 11th now without Romeo.  Lol ours is 7th. These people are delusional.

I think one of the most impressive things about Archie's first class is that he was able to fill so many scholarships while still maintaining class balance. Assuming we land the grad big, that's 7 spots he's filled in less than a year. 1 four star reclass, 4 other four stars, a McDonalds All American, and a grad transfer. Give Crean 7 open scholarships and he'd be all over the place. We'd end up with at least 1 or 2 "projects". This is a sign of good things to come.

Players whose time with IU spanned 4 coaches starting with Hulls and Gordon's recruitment or lack thereof under Davis to JBJs brief time with Archie. They all understand that IU is different than these other blue bloods or elite programs. 

We love players based on how they carry themselves and how they represent the team that we all love so much. We don't forget just because you didn't win a NC. 

Ask people their favorite player and you'll get a list of stars for sure but you will also commonly hear names like Jordan Hulls. Who despite being ignored by two previous coaches came to IU in our basketball teams darkest hour. 

At Kansas, Duke, UNC and Kentucky Romeo would have to go to a final four to have any chance of being talked about in 10 years. Here he just has to give it his all and be a part of the team. Regardless of the outcome we will make him a legend. 

Case in point Christian was a 4 year player who won one big ten title and played in two sweet sixteens. IU Legend for life.

I just want to add that I have kept myself from watching highlights until Romeo committed. It’s a superstitious thing. I watched several from the past like Trey Lyles, Gary Harris, Theo Pinson, Derron Lamb, Garland etc... I have to say Romeo looks awesome!

I don't think that happens at Kansas or Vanderbilt either. Only other place is maybe Duke.

So my good friend is a bank teller at the bank Archie goes to. Archie walked in today and my friend asked him, "did your life get easier or harder yesterday?"

Archie: "Both" with a laugh. 

Plus, enjoying a fine meal at a steakhouse while hundreds of thousands of hoosiers found out Romeo's decision was some 1920's mafia $h1t.

This guy is great. Proud of what he's accomplished already!
