Really? "Done deal" "he's ours" etc etc etc etc etc one liners over and over with no other context or support vs what some of these others have provided to to the contrary. Look back throughout and really tell us that the contrarians have not provided a case.

Not saying they are right/wrong but you have your beliefs and are only objecting to people and their style if it is different then yours

1) Hoosier guy has plenty of those but he's had plenty of posts in between that have had legitimate theories in them

I said Archie, Alford, Billy D(who didn't) and hyped Mike White though no one really mentioned him as far as sources go. Just thought he was a great fit if the 3 named weren't hired. Alford I included based off everyone else.

I think Albers got people’s hopes up about Donovan. I was a Gregg Marshall fan, but Archie was on the shortlist for sure. Very happy with the hire.

It wasn't just Albers. I recall people getting excited about Donavon before he tweeted Donovan was in Bloomington.

Dalton 26 also said Archie as a gut feeling while everyone was on Billy D.

I was calling for Archie from January on. I just liked the way his teams played, and the potential to be a top recruiter based on his brothers successes. USPS was in agreement during those convos as he watched a ton of CBB. Others had Marshall, Alford, Donovan, Stevens, etc. Outside of Alford I am not sure we could have been wrong had we stayed in that small group, but I like the upside with his age.

Yeah I liked Archie a lot watching him but if I’m honest my first choice was Bennett but the moment Archie got the job my full support went to Archie.

I wanted Bennett as well, Archie didn't meet one of my criteria for a coach. 

I like what Archie has been saying but gotta be honest if it takes more than 8 months to learn his system why are we recruiting one and dones.

I agree with this 100%. I wanted Donovan so badly but I’m not sure we’d be in the position that we are as a program right now tending upward and in this spot with the recruits with Billy. Going from NCAA to NBA back to NCAA could’ve been rough on him especially from a recruiting stance. I think Archie hangs a 6th while here.

Marshall was my first choice as I generally believe he is the best Xs and Os guy in the nation.  He would have us regularly competing for B1G championships and deep tourney runs even if he didnt land many 5 stars.  He's just that good and was the safe choice IMO.  I do believe Archie has a higher ceiling but his floor is certainly lower as well.

Archie has been my guy for a long time, always wanted him at IU.

Of course I wanted Billy D/Stevens like any normal person would and would’ve taken both first.

Family member just relayed some info on Romeo. Darius's decision will have an impact on Romeo that will only help whichever school he chooses being the are both in his top 3, but in no way is Romeo solely basing his decision off his. Said the family respects the crap out of the Garland family and have enjoyed talking with them on the visits, but Romeo knows he will only be somewhere for a short period of time. Winning is what matters almost as much as anything and this year records won't hold too much weight either. Instead they are focusing on what sets work in favor of Romeo's game and who will be coming and going for each school. Romeo would love to stay in state but that doesn't mean he will. Also said the signing in spring thing doesn't mean he won't announce before then.
