Ryno6284 Posted March 27 Posted March 27 @Uspshoosier, do you think Valentine is looking to move up in the coaching ranks, or you think he is happy at Loyola? Quote

Home Jersey Posted March 28 Posted March 28 Under most normal circumstances think it would be pretty normal/expected to give a nod to your former school in response to that question. Seems to me Kelvin knows deep down he handled things poorly here and just never did/doesn't want to acknowledge it. Who cares, it's all so long ago. Lot of respect for him as a coach. It's not as though he was in Indiana for a long time so it probably really doesn't mean much to him. A year and a half is a blip. I spent almost a year in Georgia and that state still isn't anything special to me. Home Jersey and OliviaPope40 2 Quote
Uspshoosier Posted March 28 Posted March 28 Sec was dominant all year and they start out 2 for 2 for elite 8 teams. Guaranteed 3 since Tennessee plays Kentucky tomorrow Quote

No, he has legit animosity for Indiana administration for how they handled things. Could have backed him but did the opposite. His recollection of events doesn’t mesh with the spin and narrative on BTBanners. I honestly don’t blame either side fully. Indiana could have gone about things differently. TheWatShot Posted March 28 Posted March 28 That era was just such a frustrating and embarrassing time in our history. We played politics with Davis and then virtue-signaled like no other to wash our hands of Sampson. I think that time period was when a lot of people stopped taking Indiana basketball seriously. Hovadipo Posted March 28 Posted March 28 $181 get-in price for LOS on Elite 8 Sunday before UK tips off. Eyes on those prices once they and Purdue get beat tonight. str8baller 1 Quote
Uspshoosier Posted March 29 Posted March 29 Zeigler might be my favorite non IU player to watch play in a very long time. I could probably make an argument he is my favorite college basketball player to watch including IU players the last 4 years. What a treat to watch him play Demo, Muskie plays the four and lillurk 3 Quote

Maybe he hangs in the A10 for another year or 2 and then heads for East Lansing. Regardless, his next job’s gonna be a really good one. lillurk 1 Quote
