Demo Posted January 8, 2024 Posted January 8, 2024 Wow, AJ Hoggard just took an open 3 from about 6’ off the baseline and shot it off the side of the board. Think about that, with no backboard he would have airballed it to the left of the rim. Now that’s a miss. In other news, Northwestern is flat handling MSU right now. thebigweave 1 Quote

About like Minnesota that year against Mbakwe, Rodney Williams, the Hollins(not related, I know) and Coleman... Just knew we would lose. Rutgers still should be favored in this game. Winning on the road in conference is very difficult I agree with all of this. Tough place to win. The flip side is that there aren’t too many better matchups for us. They are bad on offense and bad 3point shooters. They’ll probably try and make it a rock fight, but I’d hope guys like X, Reneau and Galloway give us a slight edge. craigyv88, Uspshoosier, lillurk and 1 other 4 Quote
Class of '66 Old Fart Posted January 8, 2024 Posted January 8, 2024 He may be a guard and he may be available but no thank you from me. Bossi - A pair of Memphis freshmen are hitting the college basketball transfer portal at the midway point of the season. A source confirmed to 247Sports on Monday that guard Mikey Williams and wing JJ Taylor are entering the transfer portal and that the former high school teammates are interested in heading to the same destination if possible. One of the most well-known high school players in the last decade, Williams had been listed on the Memphis roster all season long but never actually played for Penny Hardaway and the Tigers while he tended to legal matters at home in San Diego. The No. 39 ranked player in the class of 2023, Williams is an explosive combo guard who posted huge scoring numbers as a senior at San Ysidro (Calif.) High. At 6-foot-2 he can finish above the rim in the lane, plays through contact and is a streaky shooter with deep range on his jump shot. Home Jersey 1 Quote

I'd take Mikey Williams and I can guarantee Woody could sell the "father figure" pitch for him. I'll take any talented guard for next season. We NEED it. Scotty R 1 Quote

While there are no guarantees, we can most certainly do better in the portal than Mikey Williams. https://sports.yahoo.com/the-rise-and-fall-of-mikey-williams-145149876.html hoosierbgh, WayneFleekHoosier, lillurk and 3 others 6 Quote

Maybe Ignite, but he’s a textbook case of an early maturer and I doubt it would be worth it to them. ABL? lillurk 1 Quote
