Amazing how we fell in Kenpom even though a team we beat on a neutral court beat a team we lost to on the road. And we won on the road.

kenpom changes daily. In a span of a couple days earlier in the week we fell from 21 to 25 without playing a game. We are far enough in the season where the rpi is the only that really matters since the committee uses it and doesn't concider kenpom when evaluating a resume. I still think kenpom is the better formula to evaluate teams but we are stuck with rpi

Our offense dropped significantly to #23 because we only scored about 1.01 PPP @Minny.  Our defense is up to #57, crazy!!

Those are crazy numbers, because typically those are good numbers to show who has the better CHANCE to be there at the end.  If we can improve our defense even more (although if we didn't play that bad at the beginning of the year we might already be in the top 30) we should have a solid shot to make some noise.

Rupps rafters is almost as funny as scenes from a hat on whose line right now.

UK is now 13-4, 3-2 in conference without having yet played any of their conference's top four teams.

AND, that is with a playing rotation that includes:

McDAA five star PG (Ulis)

McDAA five star Combo Guard (Briscoe)

5 star top five ranked SG (Murray)

5 star top five ranked C (LaBaissiere)

5 star McDAA PF/C (Lee)

McDAA PF (Poythress)

MOREOVER, and I say this without any hint of sarcasm or hesitation: If they had him on their roster, Max Bielfeldt would be UK's best post player.

They are a Tyler Ulis injury away from being a bottom tier SEC team.

dont poke the bear:) I think Murray is the only thing keeping them legit at all. He's a stud and I hate saying anything positive about them

I disagree about Murray, MRob:

He is definitely an NBA quality and then some shooter; range release, everything.

However, his handle isn't that great, which leads to turnovers, and he is most certainly not a defensive plus, not even at the college level. He'll be a nice NBA player, but he is merely a good/streaky college player. He is JBJ with mediocre instead of lousy defense.

They also haven't play at Kansas in Lawrence yet (January 30).  They should get pummeled.
