What coaches used to do is completely irrelevant. They do infinitely more than what other current Big Ten coaches get away with.

I don’t disagree that he’s a giant pissy baby, but at the same time, this was maybe the funniest thing I’ve ever seen. If I don’t have a dog in the fight Fran is hysterical TV. I’m just glad he isn’t at my school.

It was okay when it was a coach at an opposing team but not to be tolerated when the other coach is an employee of UM.

Rumor on one of the Michigan boards was that the altercation Howard has was with Michigan's strength and conditioning coach.

Now it appears to be a verbal altercation between Howard and the Strength Coach. I did see Jalen Rose shooting down the “Howard is out from Michigan” rumors

Of course they will say it was only verbal.  Why they continue to protect such a mediocre coach is beyond me.

The Howard stuff is weird. I’m not super up on the topic, but I don’t recall him being a hot head as a player or assistant coach. Maybe he was, and it was just kept quiet.  
 

The hitting of Gard was way out of line and I can see how a second infraction would get him booted.

Michigan saying no physical altercation but apparently there was a pretty good shouting match between Howard and Sanderson the strength coach.  Sanderson is the father of '26 Jonathan Sanderson who has been on the IU campus more than once and has been putting up some pretty big scoring numbers at Saline HS.
