This game should serve as a reminder to players that you can still be T'd up even after the clock hits zero.

Portland snatches defeat from the jaws of victory.

Crazy ending.

Duke is playing at Miami just 48 hours after hosting UNC. Was this a rescheduled game? Seems weird to have two games that close together.

Miami up by 22 early in the second half.

Seems like it was scheduled. Most of the western conferences even the Pac 12 have Thursday/Saturday conference games every week so its not that out of the ordinary.

I really like how the PAC 12 does their travel partners/schedules.

Big Mondays stink when there is a blowout.   Not a lot of options other then Duke getting blown out

Never give up too early.
2-22 Wisconsin Green Bay knocks off 16-7 Wisconsin-Milwaukee 80-79 in OT. GB hits the go ahead 2 with 0.7 left after hitting two improbable 3s in last 30 seconds of regulation to force the OT, the tying one with 1 second left.

In other tales of teams from the dark side, Northern Arizona has lost 7 of their last 8, all by 5 pts or less….ouch

LOL.  Back in the day it was the norm in the Big 10.  Thursday and Saturday.  Then God created ESPN and things changed.

That brings back good memories.  The pre-BTN channel 4 days were some good times.  I remember having to rotate the big antenna outside at my parents' house to pick up those Saturday afternoon Big Ten slates but they were always fun.

Those were the good ole days. I remember trying to stay up late to watch the Benny Hill show.

If my memory serves me right the games were on channel 4.

You also had travel partners which made it easy to remember your schedule

Michigan - Michigan State
Indiana - Purdoodoo
Illinois - Northwestern
Wiscy - Minny
Iowa - Nebrasketball
UCLA - USC

It sounds like they aren't going to do anything in terms of scheduling and the 'randomness' of it.  Not sure why.  Personally I'm not a fan of 'locked' rivalries -- think it immediately turns into an advantage/disadvantage for a team to have a locked rival based on how good that team is.  I.e., if IU/Purdue are locked rivals and guaranteed to play each other twice/year, and Wisconsin/Minnesota are, then Wisky gets a big advantage in conference standings.

IMO, schedule should be based on balance as much as possible -- use the standings from the previous year.  I also don't like 20 games in conference and would prefer it cut to 18.

An 18 game conference schedule could be locked and balanced by even up the double games:

group 1:  teams that finished 1, 8, 9, and 16 the previous year.

group 2: teams that finished 2,7, 10, and 15 the previous year.

group 3:  teams that finished 3, 6, 11, and 14 the previous year.

group 4:  teams that finished 4, 5, 12, and 13 the previous year.

Each group plays everyone in their own group twice and all other teams once......OR

each team in group 1 plays each team in group 4 twice and everyone else once and each team in group 2 plays each team in group 3 twice.  This would result in a 19 game conference schedule.
