Brass Cannon Posted February 25, 2016 Posted February 25, 2016 I figured the Badgers win this game. Still think we lose there sadly Quote

Ryno6284 Posted February 25, 2016 Posted February 25, 2016 Two losses in a row at Carver-Hawkeye by red and white teams? Lets effing hope so! Come on IU, lets keep this thing ROLLING BABY! F the late season swoon! Prove us wrong by getting the W tomorrow! HoosierAloha and JaybobHoosier 2 Quote
HoosierRich Posted February 25, 2016 Posted February 25, 2016 So if IU lost to Iowa, but beat Maryland, IU would be 3-2 against teams with 5 losses vs Iowa being 3-3 against those same teams meaning IU would win the tie breaker Quote
JaybobHoosier Posted February 25, 2016 Posted February 25, 2016 Huge help from the Badgers tonight. As long as we go 2 and 1 to close out, all smiles here! HoosierAloha 1 Quote
Dalton26 Posted February 25, 2016 Posted February 25, 2016 I think that comes more out of hatred and jealousy. And not just looking at what he's done there. And I know "he cheats and blah blah blah". He's never actually been caught for anything. He was found to have no knowledge when it came to Camby and Rose. Facts are facts. He's the greatest recruiter ever. And he's a good coach. A bad coach would never be able to handle the ego's he has to. Calipari is one of the biggest underachivers of all time in my opinion. Look at the insane amount of talent he's had at UK and he only manages 1 national championship? HoosierAloha and Walking Boot of Doom 2 Quote

WayneFleekHoosier Posted February 25, 2016 Posted February 25, 2016 Yea Boi!!!!! Makes me even MORE nervous for tomorrow. I'm scared to watch. Gard will be UW coach of the future. Tonight likely cemented that. HoosierAloha, Bobman1 and ALASKA HOOSIER 3 Quote

KB0 Posted February 25, 2016 Posted February 25, 2016 Calipari is one of the biggest underachivers of all time in my opinion. Look at the insane amount of talent he's had at UK and he only manages 1 national championship? It's not exactly easy to win a NC either. Obviously people on here hate Calipari, I get that. He definitely comes across as a douche and coaches at Kentucky. Recipe for hate. He also is very successful. He wins games and generally does well in the tournament. You can complain that he recruits a bunch of "one-and-dones" and they aren't "real college players" (what does that even mean?!?) all you want, but he is taking advantage of the system in place. If you have an issue with "one-and-dones" then take it up with the NBA's CBA. If you want to rag on Calipari for recruiting those "type of players" then you have to do the same for Duke and Arizona. Heck Kansas tries to recruit the same way, some of their players just haven't been as good once they get on campus. It's easy to take the moral high ground and say that you don't want to play basketball without traditional four year players, who want to get a degree, and yadayadayada, but the College Basketball landscape isn't the same as it was 10-15-20 years ago. I would jump at the chance for Indiana to be landing top 5 players even if they meant they were only sticking around for a year. If they're in college it's better to have them play for Indiana then against Indiana. VO5, X-Hoosier and FortWayneHoosier 3 Quote

Great game too, too bad they are still outside the bubble.i think they might be on the right side of the bubble. There will not be a lot of teams on the bubble with 6 top 50 wins and 0 bad losses. I think if they don't lose to Washington st at home this week I think they sneak in. I thought he traveled before he got the shot off last night MartintheMopMan and HoosierAloha 2 Quote

I thought he traveled before he got the shot off last night They always travel before those last shots, it's never called. Who was it, OG in the Purdue game with an endgame travel they didn't call? Wow, I just checked their schedule and they had a much better month of February than I realized. We last had a big conversation about it right after the Arizona game, then I only watched the last three (Cal, Oregon, and Washington) and did not entirely realize they beat Utah at all or @Stanford (not a top team, but legit). Oh man, and I just checked Andy's bracket and he has them in Raleigh as a 10. Bet they'd prefer to be in Spokane, but that's not even on the bubble, they're firmly in. Pretty much where we were last year. You're right, no embarrassing loss against Washington State or really bad loss in the Pac-12 tourney and they're cruising. Quote

MartintheMopMan Posted February 25, 2016 Posted February 25, 2016 Relevant portion of the article for non-clickers: Selection Sunday is getting bigger. The NCAA Basketball Championship Selection Show, featuring the exclusive, live first-time announcement of the pairings for the 2016 NCAA Division I Men’s Basketball Championship, is expanding to two hours. Turner Sports and CBS Sports will begin the road to the 2016 Final Four with the newly expanded show, airing Sunday, March 13, from 5:30-7:30 p.m. ET on CBS. The bigger Selection Show will feature more analysis, more discussion, more interviews and more reactions from teams as they learn their seed, region and opponent. Ernie Johnson will join Greg Gumbel to host the show from the CBS Broadcast Center in New York City. Clark Kellogg, Charles Barkley, Kenny Smith, Seth Davis and Doug Gottlieb will provide analysis breaking down the bracket. Previously, the one-hour Selection Show aired from 6-7 p.m. http://www.ncaa.com/news/basketball-men/article/2016-02-25/ncaa-basketball-championship-selection-show-expands-two-hours?cid=ncaammsocial_tw_sf21521787 The Selection Show is so outdated, I know they never will but they should ditch the entire thing. It's not like the draft where anything is happening between each announcement, they are literally just dragging out telling us predetermined information like some kind of VH1 countdown. Release the bracket instantaneously and save us all a headache. I'll even download a proprietary app filled with ads for it. Quote
JSHoosier Posted February 25, 2016 Posted February 25, 2016 You'd think so. But coaches can't know everything. We'd still have Perea, Davis and Holt on the team if they did right? Louisville would be eligible for the tourney as well? It is asking too much of a coach to know everything little thing that goes on. That is a huge difficultly for college coaches. Uh, those players were booted because the coach did know what was going on. Walking Boot of Doom and Stuhoo 2 Quote
X-Hoosier Posted February 25, 2016 Posted February 25, 2016 Uh, those players were booted because the coach did know what was going on. He found out after the fact. Do you think that was the first time that had happened? For DD and Perea it was probably close to an everyday thing. Quote
