Last Sec got 14 teams in because of their history making non conference results. B1G won’t be that good but they are going to get extra teams in the tourney because of this start. It’s amazing how things changed once everybody could pay players. Evariste Galois, str8baller, Hoosierinbham and 2 others 5 Quote

Uspshoosier Posted November 27, 2025 Posted November 27, 2025 Unbalanced schedules stink. The fact we only get 1 game of Purdue/Michigan during the regular season stinks. Michigan only has to play Illinois, IU and Purdue once. They have a brutal 10 day stretch in February though @Purdue Duke- Neutral @Illinois Home game with Minny in between the Duke and Illinois games Quote
TheWatShot Posted November 27, 2025 Posted November 27, 2025 Michigan would be #1 next week if the media wasn't in bed with Purdue. Home Jersey and OliviaPope40 2 Quote

I'm sure there will be years they get the best of us and years we get the best of them. I would've loved to hire Dusty when Michigan did but we also don't know for certain he'd want to coach here. Timing just didn't work out. Sucks, but I think we got another really good coach who can be here a long time. And yes, a big ole screw you, to Quinn. str8baller, AZ Hoosier, HoosierHoopster and 3 others 6 Quote

And I don't want or mean to sound ungrateful for DDV. I'm super encouraged with what he's doing so far with a patchwork roster. Like it was said last night: We got ourselves a coach. WayneFleekHoosier Posted November 27, 2025 Posted November 27, 2025 Dusty put a hell of a roster together this season. The Yaxel addition was HUGE. Being able to play all 3 bigs together is borderline unfair. I’m not sold on Cadeau at all but that front court and Dusty as a coach. I’m sold. Dusty said the offseason was easy as players wanted to play for Michigan based on results and style. This is my hope for DDV. We will need about 3 starter level guys out of the portal including a PG and Center and maybe a SG as well. Jeff Flabjohns, OliviaPope40 and Home Jersey 3 Quote

I have no problem watching any team at anytime. If I waited until championship week to watch some of these smaller conferences and schools then chances are I missed out on a heck of a game on a Tuesday 5 games into the SoCon regular season. For me seeing these little guys play all year makes championship week more exciting since I will know which schools can make a run in their conference tourney. I’m not a regular fan though. Even in the 90’s I was watching small conference teams year round. Having an aunt and uncle who had one of those big satellites gave access to channels from around the US. Going over there and watching West coast games was the best. Boise States old floor brings those memories back. ESPN then had the full court offer that gave you access to all the games for a pay per view type price that I had my parents get and then I got it when I went to college. Now i have just about every streaming service you can think of just to be able to watch as many games as possible. My passion for college basketball hasn’t changed since those early days. I’m known as the college basketball guy and I’m more then ok with that. I used to be just like that because I only watched college basketball from Nov-April and nothing else. I use to buy 3 or more pre season magazines and read them cover to cover but not today. I just think all the player movement has made the sport less interesting and it is hard to get to know teams rosters. I use to know all the teams rosters going into the season but today I don't even know the big ten teams rosters. J34, cthomas and JF87 3 Quote

Northwestern, Nebraska. Rutgers, Penn State, and Minnesota are the only bad teams and I’m not sure Penn State or Minnesota are even THAT bad. Quote
