He choked in the spotlight and left 3+ TD's on the field do to his pitiful play. The missed FG & TO were more acute, but Hoover's atrocious play all day was the reason IU lost. Hopefully that motivates him and next time he doesn't fold under pressure. If not, IU has no shot at winning anything meaningful with him. Very disappointing that a guy with that much experience wet his pants when it mattered. Yardage numbers today look good for him but he was pretty awful. Marsh drifted out on the last play but if Hoover gets rid of that a just little sooner it's a TD. Quote

Your QB isn’t always going to be perfect so you need to pay attention to those details to make sure you make those plays. It’s clearly not all on Marsh but the throw was there. He’s got to find a way to stay in bounds. VPC 1 Quote

DChoosier Posted October 17 Posted October 17 NO TEAM is standing out as an odds on favorite to win it all We 110% win today with Mendoza but how many Mendoza’s are there? I thought we would run it against anyone but was obviously wrong Hoover isn’t throwing interceptions but he doesn’t see the field at an elite level and is inaccurate. At this point I don’t think it will change. Missed FG’s, fumbles, no run game, missed passes and we still only lose to OSU by a foot. Let’s beat UM !! HinnyHoosier Posted October 17 Posted October 17 I wouldn't celebrate the injury of any player. That really sucks for Sayin, and I hope for his sake the injury doesn't impose long lasting limitations on him. However, Indiana screwed Ohio State over for weeks and America is better for it. Quote
Hoosier987 Posted October 17 Posted October 17 Gut wrenching loss. We made mistakes but thought we were better team. if Sayin is out for the rest of season, OsU in big trouble. BtownStrength and skhoosier2 2 Quote

Oregon, USC, Nebraska, NW, Michigan...not a cakewalk, but they should win all of those even with their back-up. Quote

Just the way he got up and his arm was limp. Either way he’s out for a while. Big blow as it sounds (and appears) they don’t have a ton of options as backups. But who does really anymore? He's young, and definitely wasn't all the ready for that moment, but he was IU's #1B option at QB in that class. I'd say the talent is there. Depends on how fast they can bring him up to speed. Quote
