That version of Braden Smith was my favorite (8 points, 6 TO's), not the "bEsT pG sInCE CHrIs PauL" narrative that gets pushed on us almost daily.

Braden Smith is 5 for 30 shooting in his career in Assembly Hall. 17%.

They went to Dandy Don calling the game, it looks like they have the radio guys calling the game from the Space Shuttle.

Had to catch the 2nd half on the radio and Fisch made a comment about how dark it was where they had them sitting because he was having difficulties reading an ad!

I’ll mention this and it’s totally understandable because he’s gonna be 80 here shortly. I have listened to him for years as many others have…and I’ll say he seems to be struggling more than ever. I noticed it last year and it seems to have gotten worse this season as he stumbles his words quite a bit. I fear for the day he has to hang it up. He’s a legend.

He's not used to double duty this late into the season.  :)

I've noticed that as well.  I'm 50 and been listening to him call games my whole life.  I actually prefer radio to TV. Done for the Cubs with Pat and Ron, the Pacers with Mark and Slick, and the Colts with Bob Lamey and now Matt Taylor. All those games won't be the same without them!

They look to be a tournament team again, and big opportunities await. Take some of these ranked matchups and there may be more buy-in from the fans, myself included. Take 4 of the next 5 and Hoosier Nation will be rocking. Hopefully they can continue to improve and produce on-the-court results worthy of getting excited about. I think most of us know… it can get magical in Btown. I want to see them turn this year into something GREAT and do something special!

Come on now! It’s time for the Indiana HOOSIERS to go on a run.

It was clearly satisfying to see a Hoosier team actually win the second half. That has been a struggle for this team.

Big Donors have a smile on their face when Dolson calls atm. If this team can give them a reason to believe Dolson can get the money for a roster upgrade this next year.

Yea, just look at the football team.  It’s an organic thing. Everyone loves a winner.

When Woody got his big chunk of cash everyone was ecstatic not realizing wasting that money could cause it to go away.

Giving Woodson that chunk of cash was the same as flushing it away. Regardless of who he managed to get, he still had to coach them. I see the Darian DeVries tenure much differently. He's delivered to a large extent, and he's doing a decent to good job with the team he managed to put together.

You are correct, that everyone love a winner, and even the Cubbies' fans know that hope springs eternal... but with some of our past coaches, the handwriting was on the wall and guys like Buckner continuing to throw good money after bad trying to show that they were right. It was an epic failure and a fool's errand.

Hopefully this is not that.
