Class of '66 Old Fart Posted December 29, 2025 Posted December 29, 2025 We open 2026 hosting Washington 8-4 which as Doc Fleek pointed out, it will be a Bryson Tucker reunion game. Another player on the Washington roster with a somewhat IU connection is Franck Kepnang who received an IU offer way back in July 2019 and originally committed to Oregon in October 2020. And as pointed out elsewhere, Washington will be without Wesley Yates their second leading scorer(15 ppg) who had wrist surgery. Tucker after starting and playing 20+ min/gm in their first 3 games, did not play from Nov 9 to Dec 13 (injury?) and has played less than 20 min/gm in 3 games since returning to the court. He's shooting 45% FG, 33% on 3s and 5 rpg. As a team WA averages 83 ppg with a +11 margin. They shoot 45% FG and 33% on 3s. The average 42 rpg with a +12 margin. IU in comparison: 85 ppg on 48% FG, 36% on 3s. We average just 37 rpg. If we shoot the 3 well, we should win but if we're playing the Anvil Chorus, ouch. Pagoda Posted December 30, 2025 Posted December 30, 2025 It’ll be mildly interesting to see if the crowd bothers to give Bryson much of a cheer or a jeer. It feels like he was barely here. Regardless, he’ll always be part of the IU family. <3 mamasa, FloridaHoosierGirl, FortWayneHoosier and 1 other 4 Quote

Whoozhers Posted January 3 Posted January 3 Preemptive request. Please do not let John Fanta do any IU basketball games. Thank you in advance. Ryno6284 1 Quote
DChoosier Posted January 3 Posted January 3 For anyone looking for an economical chance to take the kids to a game, and show them “the Hall”, there are first and second row balcony seats on Vivid Seats for $5.00 including fees and high rows (40’sh) in the lower bowl for $8-$10. RaceToTheTop 1 Quote

WayneFleekHoosier Posted January 4 Posted January 4 Was kinda hoping we’d find a “pro” and ready center over our 12 day hiatus and give us a bump to get over the “hump”. The reality of this roster will likely become apparent over the next month. Gotta win our homes games and I’m always over confident in Assembly Hall. Hold off the inevitable as long as possible. I think you're right about the reality of the roster. This will most likely be a disappointing season because we didn't construct this roster properly. I think we may struggle to be .500 in the Big Ten this year. Hopefully, we can hold serve at home, but I have my doubts. Quote
