It’s one thing to lose to kentucky like this if they were a top 10 team…then is like ok, whatever….but Kentucky was NOT good and we played even worse. Thats the most frustrating thing about the loss. We go from scoring 113 points last game, to 60 tonight. Crazy.

Then he targets all these top level 2026 freshman because we are Indiana and we can’t afford to win a single top level recruitment. Then what are we even doing? Bargain basement shopping? That’s not why you take a big budget job. DeVries is basketball smart but he wasn’t ready for Indiana. If we were gonna bottom basement shop, you hire McCollum.

Figure out a way to let DeVries build a competent roster and it’s a 1 year trial.

Get a top 10 NIL budget and keep hiring coaches until you find one that has IT.

Absolute collapse in the final 14 mins. Unless we overperform in conference, selection Sunday will be yet another disappointment. We will certainly beat some teams and have a few exciting moments with our shooting abilities. But no rebounding and limited athletes are the downfall.

A coaches son, that is in his  5th or 6th year, should know better than throw up some of the crap he did tonight. Game is still tight, on the road, and you shoot a 35 footer, a turn around from the free throw line…WTF.

Bailey would not play on  atleast 10 big 10 teams. Unfortunately he’s one of our higher paid guys.

When Cig said he completely gave up control of the defense to Haynes, my ears perked up. It was at that moment I knew there was a real leader at hand, the kind of leader who could lead in arenas he was no expert in. If Dolson was willing to step back and be the assistant to Cig when he inevitably retires, then IU could have a real golden age. If not, I sure hope Dolson is taking notes. But, good golly, Devries better get some better players next year.

Yes, but even those limitations don’t explain shot selection, unforced turnovers etc. Just a really, really ugly second half.

I was mainly skeptical about big man depth but talked myself into believing A) no way the staff could miss so badly on Bailey B) they must fit his offensive system well enough that I'll give them the benefit of the doubt. 

Clearly there's a reason almost all of these guys started in lower ranks. We didn't hit on nearly as many as we missed. It's going to be tough to build on anything with as many seniors as we have too. Only really Dorn and Sisley as returning contributors so far. Not a lot (if any) help on the way in the freshman class.

I love IUBB but tonight DDV and his team seriously disappointed me in the second half. Can feel the apathy about the rest of the season at least until football season is over. But now I am doubting that year 2 will even be much if any better. And that is sad.

I’d argue the consistent lack of effort is also really concerning. 
 

Creans team often did things wrong but I rarely if ever questioned their effort.

He wasn’t the long term answer and Devries has had a good track record but the leash should be short and next offseason moves should have major implications imo

 At this point he is not utilizing this team (although limited) to its full potential.  Hope for adjustments now that teams know to guard out high cause we don’t have much post presence.

I think this season has potential to get ugly… I don’t think we win more than 16 games. If it gets ugly…. Let’s play people that might actually be here next year. I mean Achimovic can’t possibly be that worse than Bailey. Give Ristic some run. Like Conerway isn’t that much of upgrade in a losing season.

We’ve got two guys who are good shooters when they are open and they never get open against good teams.  We got nothing else.
