Part II of Hoosier Fest in Indianapolis

Rules

How does this work?

Each week I will create a Prediction League thread for the week's game.

It's a simple concept:

Each week you start with 100 points (only if a prediction is made, otherwise 0 points for the week)
+ 25 pts if you guess the winner
- 25 pts if you pick the loser
25 pts if guess IU score correctly (Up from 10)
25 pts if guess Opponent score correct (Up from 10)
- The # of points different between the actual and predicted score of IU (over/under doesn't matter)
- The # of points different between the actual and predicted score of opponent (over/under doesn't matter)
Also, the highest scorer(s) of the game gets 25 pts for a new maximum of 200 points.

*** Reminder if you post a prediction and want to change it, please just POST a NEW Prediction, do not edit a prior post as I may miss those edits.

The person with the most points (MINUS LOWEST GAME) at the end of the season wins.

ONLY POST PREDICTIONS IN THIS THREAD, THANK YOU

I'll happily lead off.  I watched yesterday with full intent of making up my mind on whether or not OSU is better than Indiana.

They are solid.  They are not a better football team.

Indiana will be healthy with something to prove.  OSU is coming off an emotional win with nothing to prove.   As Pat McAfee would say :

GIMME' THE INDIANA HOOSIERS!!!!!

I’m an IU grad who has been an IU football fan for 50 years. I will be at Lucas Oil Saturday night with all 3 of my sons, one of whom is currently an IU student. Trying to imagine standing in awe after the game looking at an Indiana team that will be the unanimous #1 team in the county and the favorite to win the national championship. Beyond my wildest dreams.

Indiana 28, Ohio St 24. LFG!

I thought Ohio State made Michigan look not to good.  I think Ohio State can shift into a higher gear and will win by a td and a half and cover point spread of about 5.5. BUT HOWEVER

Michigan just beat Purdue by 5 points in Ann Arbor....how good is Michigan, yet for a while there they had the Buckeyes worried!

We have the talent to beat Ohio State, but I worry about the stage. IU needs to go into this game loose, last year we were wound up so tight we made some really stupid mistakes. No way am I picking against our guys in this game, Go Hoosiers, make more history!

I’m still not sure what Ohio State has done this year to earn the level of praise they’ve received, which has “solidly put them a tier above everyone.”…They won @Washington and handled an incredibly overrated Michigan team? Texas was a mess to start the season. They did look better against Penn State than we did, but they also played a “different” Penn State team at home. We got Penn State’s best and final shot this year.

OSU is not a great running team. They have a great o-line and passing game, but they haven’t faced any semblance of a pass rush this season. If we can make their offense one dimensional and hurry Sayin by a second or two more than he’s used to then I think we have a very good chance to not only win but win by more than one score.

Give me IU 34-24.
