IU’s defense is 4th in 3rd down stop rate, OSU’s is 2nd. Whoever wins that battle will be a step ahead. The Dipo abides. 46% (plus 1/1 on 4th down) vs 33% (0/1 on 4th down). TOP was dead even, total yards dead even, first downs dead even, turnover battle dead even. We won 3rd downs, we won the game. Class of '66 Old Fart, thebigweave, Lebowski and 2 others 5 Quote

We won’t play a better offense than that the rest of the way. cthomas, Pagoda, thebigweave and 1 other 4 Quote

One thing is for sure; if we're playing a truly top tier offense it isn't in our quarterfinal against Oklahoma or Bama. Then the semifinal could be against one of the few top tier offenses; Oregon, but they'll be a slight underdog to a just okay TTech offense. For the natty game if we're so blessed? Either Georgia, OSU, A&M, or Ole Miss could be considered offensive top teams. BTW, based on the total of two TDs we gave up in eight quarters against OSU and Oregon's offenses, I'm guessing we'll be more than okay. :) thebigweave and southsidehoosier 2 Quote

Could we really compete with the “big dogs”? Cig essentially said “stick it where the sun don’t shine” and goes out and wins at Oregon and beats OSU (not to mention IL, at Iowa etc). There is NO DOUBT, especially with our defense, that we can beat ANYONE. Never thought I would live to see this. Hardwood83, thebigweave, Dhop and 1 other 4 Quote

Fisch deserved that moment after all he has seen. I did flip over to Fox Sports on Sirius to hear the OSU radio to gage their excitement level from time to time during the game, and they were not happy. You could tell that they were shocked that the IU defense was handling them unlike anyone else this year. It was joyous. go iu bb and thebigweave 2 Quote
