My gosh, we actually hired a college basketball coach. Not a nice-guy assistant, not a snake oil cheater, not a motivational speaker, not a kid riding on his family and former coach’s success, not an NBA elitist. No cheerleading, no promises of banners, just a commitment to work hard and do the fundamental things. We hired a college basketball coach! God be praised!

Great press conference. No disrespect to Woody, but man this was such a stark difference between Woodson's and Coach DeVries' introductory press conference.  Just a breath of fresh air listening to that.

Yes, especially with his comments about a "team" vs a "collection of players"... he talked about getting players with talent and that can play together... we had a few last season who didn't like sharing their toys... they're gone...

Woody never talked basketball. He sounded like a goober in comparison. Woody acted like he was bigger than Indiana. He obviously wasn’t!

I'm interested to see how he rounds out his staff. I liked what he said about getting people on board that are all going in the same direction from top to bottom. That is sooooooo important!

That's how I feel, and Goode would work well if he gets another year.  I don't have an issue with Rice, I didn't hear anything bad about him this year (though I'm not super connected), and of course he overcame cancer which will always be impressive.  He just got stuck on a Woody team and that is tough.

Everyone else?  If coach wants them and they have an epiphany they need to change, fine, but anyone else who goes I won't miss.

Oh Luke Goode fits if it's an option. Fits like a glove.
